The series is doing a really good job teasing the audience with the upcoming identification of Wang’s mother; it just never happens and for very creative reasons! :D
Speaking as a writer - can I be the one to point out it's only been three (four now) episodes? Give the story…
Sure, but the story suggests that this has been going on for a really long time already before the timeline of the series starts, I think that is what bothers many people. We’ll see how it all develops …
Don’t know how anyone can bare to watch the original version, I think it would be my death, judging by how much I cried only for the happy-ending one. Excellent movie, I found it fascinating how many lines could still sound so poetic and touching, while the subtitles were pretty messy. Great character development, my only critique would be the slight repetitiveness when the movie showed Xie Yan’s behaviour (gets a bit too much watching both movies in a row). Anyway, I love it!
Okay, I am invested in this crazy story and will watch to the end, lol! But, serious question: what do you think…
I have long ago accepted that sometimes (actually, most of the time, in my experience) love is just a mystery. Plus as far as I understand it, it is Third’s first crush, so that usually makes it even more unreasonable. However, I think Third really is a late bloomer, being like this in middle school feels relatable, but in university?!
Just rewatched it after more than two years. I remembered it very well and I won’t change my view on it: for me it’s a real masterpiece of a drama. Sure, the story revolves around well-known situations, but this “dreamy” way of storytelling makes it seem so special! In my opinion it also deals very well with internalised homophobia and what it means to be in a position of power, Xie Yan’s character development (including part 2, obviously) is so impressive. For these reasons it clearly is an abusive relationship, but both main characters don’t really have a chance to change that at this point (and with the pressure from society that is put on them). Oh, and the two songs are so touching, but well, over the last year they have become my breakup soundtrack, so I react strongly to them …
Watching this drama because of new but Omg his acting is so painful to watch honestly ,he overacting much in all…
I really like the storylines involved, but I agree with your opinion about acting and character development. For me it’s Newie’s fifth role in a series I’m watching, but he didn’t really make progress; still have hope though that upcoming sweet moments with Win and Pat might be the right challenge for him!
I think that this latest episode changed my feelings on this show a bit. I was watching it because I like the…
Yep, Win and Pat are finally growing closer, it’s very sweet to watch. I still think that Wang’s story is interesting and emotional enough, but I agree that there’s (until now) not much chemistry going on between him and Ple …
Anyone else hearing elements of The Lion King soundtrack in the soundtrack of this series? :D (for example from 4:08 in https://youtu.be/hOIwSsbj-AI) I find it really heartwarming every time it’s playing …
you have to see his acting in Gifted The series, I was wowed really, he did so well acting like he has schizophrenia…
Yeah, Gun is much more than a rom-com actor; apart from The Gifted (incredible performance indeed!) he has had interesting roles also in The Blue Hour or in Bittersweet Chocolate and the sequel (at least judging by the trailer).
The quality of the acting in this is poor...like a bunch of novices. Both male leads are attractive enough to…
I agree in part, still not a big fan of this series. However, I do appreciate at least Lee’s acting! Maybe I’m a little biased though, after all it’s Lee Thanat himself …
Oh, come on; the BFR kidnapping is ridiculous! They are a rental service, as Victor put it correctly, there’s absolutely no need to use such criminal methods. Just send an injunction and then start a trial, people! Work for us or we’ll shoot you, are you kidding me? At first I was happy that they had not completely forgotten about the only original element of this series, but this depiction was unnecessary. I’m curious how much importance the BFR service will have in future episodes, this episode kind of teases some overdramatic final moments with gang shootouts and police involvement, totally out of touch with the overall atmosphere of the series.
I just wanted to mention that Namtan is doing a great job here again after Friend Zone. Pat is definitely my favourite character in this series, she’s pretty, nice and smart; unlike the other characters, she hardly ever gets awkward, so kudos for that! :)
Yes, I want more! :D Anyway, I feel like Win finally got more likeable this episode.
Well, if we think about it this way, basically now M betrayed his friend Kongpob?! :D As for this series, it will even get more awkward when they will finally find out about their family ties; but for now it seems to have brought them a little closer together, at least temporarily.
I'm guessing it's something like 'drink responsibly'
I assumed something like that, yeah! Don’t think that they have done something similar before, usually they just blur the alcohol. Well, as an ambassador of alcohol-free lifestyle I strongly approve! ;)
