Actually I was already surprised that they didn’t wait until the last episode! :D But I’m happy we will get to see a finale in Hong Kong. Another surprise in this episode for me was that New’s dramatic acting was suddenly the most convincing (imo), while Krist and even Tai seemed to be struggling with the emotional scenes. Meanwhile Krist was most convincing when he got angry. And well, a little plot twist I didn’t expect …

Yeah, ultimately the plot is pretty simple when it comes to the pairings (and honestly I really don’t care who ends up with whom in the end). Only Jayden’s involvement is now still unclear, looking forward to find out everything next week then!

Hm, since you don’t seem satisfied with the description above (which is accurate), I hope you are ready for some spoilers?! Basically, Boy for Rent is a (semi-legal, it seems) company where women can go and pay for renting a boy as companion for a certain period of time. I suppose it’s some form of escort service, but the women we see in the series are not really up for going very far with the boys (and somehow the official rental period always ends already at midnight). Anyway, this company (led by Jayden) is imo the only original element of this series, the main story is just a classic love square with the two girls and boys falling for each other and making the audience wonder whether the final couples will be Smile/Badz and Liz/Kyro or Smile/Kyro and Liz/Badz. Not too exciting imo. But at least Liz and Kyro have been given some deeper background story. And: there seems to be a kind of plot twist in ep. 12 involving Boy for Rent and Badz’ involvement in it, which I am very curious about.

Oh, so we will have two finales in one week! I was hoping to get this one over with this week already, but alright …

Looks a bit overdramatic. But it hurts seeing Lee Thanat getting shot! I guess this is taking the place of Love Beyond Frontier?!

So many shades of jealousy in one episode …

Wow, I was pretty impressed by the depiction of the mother’s inner conflict! I really like the dynamics of the story now, so I can overlook the abundance of ridiculous dialogues and the not very interesting love stories.

Well, we have seen that Khai tends to imagine all situations in great detail inside his mind, so I guess this will be one of his phantasies!

I did not get Kyro’s behaviour in the scene in front of the car in ep. 10. He did not know Badz, so why does he tell Liz he did, furthermore in such an arrogant manner? Maybe something got lost in translation, but it did not make sense combined with him suddenly tearing up afterwards.

Let’s wait for the subtitles! :D

Love how even all their parents’ stories are intertwined, the “tribunal” scene at the hotel was great! For the rest: the dramatic moments sadly don’t work well, we got too much comedy already …

Somebody knows the actor of Shane? He looks kinda familiar (probably the hairstyle confuses me)

Good question! I only remember the very disappointing lesbian character in Water Boyy and the one in SOTUS that was never looked into any further …

I was really touched by Kyro’s story in ep. 9, that was pretty well done! Now after the preview I’m looking forward to Jayden destroying everything :D

Whatever Badz’s intention may have been (I think he is just not well written as a character, so it’s hard to tell), the thing that annoys me is the general stereotyping of gender roles here. Badz’s talk about men’s sex drive, to which women are necessarily nothing else than victims, and all that just seems so unhealthily old-fashioned. The female roles in eg Friend Zone did a good job in overcoming such stereotypes, but here it is just bad.

I feel like I’m laughing more every episode, not sure if that’s a good thing though. The hotel scenes in ep. 8 are pure comedy :D

Well, there’s not much to guess about that, already ep. 1 made it pretty clear …

There’s a funny BL moment in ep. 4, but that’s it ;)

Yeah, watched it last night! :) Something must have gone wrong, I don’t think they would like to change their upload scheme now in the middle of everything. We’ll see this weekend, I guess!
