it's a good drama. jayler is such a great actor. the only thing that i hate from the drama is the ending. i don't…
Well, I could tell that Gabriel was disappointed by Michael's decision! :D I get what you're saying; but the point they tried to make was exactly that rank and power don't mean anything compared to true human feelings, love especially.
I cried more in this finale than I did during all of Until We Meet Again; would have never expected that. Also, longest review I have ever written. :D I will definitely miss this series!
Ep. 11 was (once again) really great imo. Sure, the special effects looked very cheap, but I feel like they did the best they could with the budget they had (and they really went all-in: transformation of satan, revelation of Michael's angelic powers, Gabriel and the others arriving on Earth, the Angel's flight over Bangkok and him and Lin walking over water). I actually got to see my long-awaited fight between Michael and Satan (no apocalypse, but at least a lunar eclipse). And it looks like they are at least considering the possibility of an ending in tragedy. However, I think they should have better distributed the events of this episode between eps. 10-12; this one was too packed, and I can't think of a proper way to fill another episode when the devil is apparently already defeated. For keeping people watching, I think it would have been a good idea to have Michael's abduction in one episode, his victory over Satan only in the following one (there was potential for a cliffhanger). But anyway, maybe even the finale can still surprise me. My preferred version would in any case be the more tragic one, with Michael accepting the burden of his role and Lin forgetting about him, while obviously still having an angel beside her.
lol..I know right.!If he grants her wish they both will be at loss in the end. Don't want that to happen. :(Last…
I think it would be an excellent solution for her; the question is whether he could bear it?! I would prefer him going back to Heaven, as stated earlier, but let’s just wait and see. I’m blown away by ep. 11 in any case, once again better than I expected …
Has anyone seen the music video "Sotus" by Rap Against Dictatorship (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F58sq5N56I)? The group has had quite some media exposure when they first started with their anti-government lyrics. This song imo presents a very interesting critical insider perspective on the Sotus system and its implications for Thai society.
Have you checked out the recommendations listed above?
I see ... Actually, on the lines of my comment, one drama that comes to my mind would be "Dark Blue Kiss", a very down-to-earth BL series; and maybe, just maybe, "Love Beyond Frontier" could do for you (but it's been ruined by Mr. Desaster Director, so I'm very cautious with recommending it). I wrote reviews about both of them, you can have a look. Generally, I'm also not used to this type of storytelling, since I usually either watch BL (often over-the-top) or more outstanding thriller stuff ...
Yeah, I don't think we have to doubt about the ending being happy. However, from the start I was unsure what a…
That’s the kind of cliche ending I would have expected from the start, yeah. But is that fully “happy”, if he has to give up his status? There are some things that make me doubt about such an ending. For defeating the devil, Mikael will need his powers, if he doesn’t get sudden help from Heaven (Gabriel is sleeping, so there’s not much hope :D). Also, there is this one scene in the series’s opening credits where they almost kiss, with Mikael looking like an angel again. I’m pretty sure Mikael will get his power back at least temporarily. And this series has surprised me in a very positive way until now, so maybe the ending will as well. In any case, I’m looking forward to the final confrontation of Michael and Lucifer, basically like this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Le_Grand_Saint_Michel,_by_Raffaello_Sanzio,_from_C2RMF_retouched.jpg ;) (actually that would require the apocalypse to happen, but I have a feeling the series won’t be that serious about its source material)
Many people recommended this too me. But, I'll wait to see if it has happy ending. In the current state of the…
Yeah, I don't think we have to doubt about the ending being happy. However, from the start I was unsure what a happy ending could look like in this case, so I still don't know what to expect from the finale ...
Is this worth the watch?? Debating to watch for Jaylerr...
I can absolutely recommend it (but obviously I don't know what you are looking for in a drama), right now I'm thinking of giving it 9*, much more than I would have ever expected of this. It is however destined for a rather young audience, keep that in mind.
Wow, ep. 8 was once again so good! This series has it all: good message, relatable characters, humour, plot twists and drama. And it looks like the demons will start to have a comeback next episode, I can't wait!
