The thing that makes the most curious is, how is he any worse than DO? Plus, he made ~zero moves all that time he knew her back when.. often when that happens, viewers always blame them for staying quiet.. yet now he's got a chance to reunite with the person he lost so long ago & if he declined, viewers would then be saying "well, you shoulda just moved in when you had the chance" kinda thing. Seems like "second leads" are doomed either way, as many main leads can be the pushiest of all yet they still get ppl admiring them for it.

But then, I also don't really see YW as the "ignores rejection" type at all..? Seems like that's more DO's style here. AJ is probably going to reject DO ~many times before they ever get around to clearing up that old misunderstanding. Whereas if she officially firmly rejects YW once, he'd accept it. At least that's how ~consistent writing would go.. but this show is smth else, so who knows <3

Discussing in-depth about a story on a ~discussion forum is "doing too much"? That's rather perplexing.. o.O

Well, it was already explained why YW ~can't get his own place, but I agree that before even thinking of accepting the offer, both asking AJ && mentioning the potential issues with his super-controlling mother ~shd've been done first.. it's a flaw in the plot for convenience.. then again, if DO had done the same, I wonder what the reaction would've been.. how different would it be?

Their actual ages at time of filming in spring 2011 were 25 (CD) & 30 (JNR). I haven't seen the series yet, but I'll try & keep an eye out for shots of resumes when I do to see what the ~characters wrote down for their birthdays. <3

She told him that in the school && what did he do after that?? Can you point out where exactly he "pushed" her ~after she told him not to, because I must've missed it.. his next scene is a while later when they run into each other where he merely again ~assures her that she can take her time as long as she needs, no pressure. Maybe the translation is making it sound more ~rough? The line that reads "I want to be the one next to you in the end" could easily have been "I'm hoping you'll give me a chance" / "I'd like to spend forever with you". Right after, he says that's all he needs- so he's also certainly the type who'd *easily* accept it if she ~did outright reject him, & would be good just staying friends, just to be by her side. Next scene is AJ pondering whether to read the note or not & then she sees the poetry book & has that warm flashback.. if anything she's probably procrastinating because she's preoccupied with producing as well as probly still in denial about DO.. & as for the moving in, grandma insisted because she likes YW & he literally has nowhere else to go- but that's really the actual writer's fault because they wanted "cohabitation" & didn't think it through..

Girl or not, ~most ppl would of course want someone with those good combinations minus the extremely outdated stuff.. as for me, YW is both who I want the most && who I want to ~be, while DO is both who I ~probly am LOL & would also like (with a few adjustments).. it's like "chocolate or chicken", I could never choose btwn! xD

RJ tho in current canon has turned out to be just a total joke, & just ~beyond cringey, lol.. while PD is still totally a mystery- I need to find out more before I can feel any certain way, but I do like when a stoic type *mixes* with others ;P

..curious, but how exactly is YW seen as even ~more "pushy" than DO? so far he only took ~14yrs to confess & did it quietly, assuring AJ she could take her time making a decision re: if she wants to give him a chance or not & he hasn't ~literally dragged her anywhere.. he hasn't tried to keep her away from the others &/or ruin/monitor her time with them.. he didn't even reprimand the others for letting AJ get so drunk that night.. the only missteps I've seen so far were mimicking DO's arm grab on the rooftop that time, & maaybe being a bit too enthusiastic at the PTA meeting (but AJ's crazy facial contortions made it 100x worse, what kind of overreaction.. loool I almost expected somebody to ask umm what's wrong with her??) but it was only a friendly "good luck" note, & anyone else wdve brushed that off with a soft smile.. <3

LOL "a bit nosy" umm, trying to ~force your grown son into moving home by getting him evicted & buying out any place he might rent AND his school just because he didn't want to agree to an arranged marriage with some rich girl? & trying to ~trick him into the same marriage deal with a "deathbed" wish? it also seems like she already knows that his one biggest love was a pregnant girl he met at school.. it's quite possible the reason she interrogated him is cuz she wants to know if he's found her again.. knowing what we know now, she may be the reason AJ moved back then, leaving YW the first time.. ;(

Haven't seen those references, & I don't really like that trait either, but does that make DO an ~openly "bad guy" then cuz he's already been shown to be the *most* possessive? I think it just really comes down to ~bad writing~ because the writers think only of/like people who find that immaturity attractive & that's who they're aiming to appeal to.. like one wrist grab is bad enough, but dragging a person across a building & up multiple flights of stairs? Compared to DO, YW then was merely being ~protective, not possessive.. yet I have seen cmts swooning over DO's actions there as if it was a good "take charge" move, lol oyy. Plus it's a "harem" rom-com so it seems the only "villain" will be the typical mean girl (who will hopefully undergo some character development) & the opening theme as well as the overall vibe is too light & cheery for any kind of crazy darkness <3

My top fave Kdramas completely ~subverted the "hissy 2nd female lead" trope, by having them be actually genuine & *worthy* of OT4 status <33 (Protect the Boss & She Was Pretty) I wish there were more Kdramas like that! The mean ones do get so boring & annoying..
