The only type of "fake (or insincere) marriages" (in most places overall) that are outlawed are ones that intend to deceive the ~government for the goal of obtaining a greencard / citizenship.. otherwise, there is no law insisting that marriages or relationships be considered 100% "legitimate" in all aspects (at least not in SK/UK/US, so far) by any particular standards when they are just for "personal reasons" & making overbearing parental figures STOP trying to force you into ~unwanted marriages.. THOSE *should* be illegal but they are also perfectly fine (& often considered as cultural traditions)..

Nor is there anything restricting the hiring of ppl to be your "performative" partner ("for appearances only") - only if you were to pay someone purposely for a *physical* relationship, which crosses the line with ~that type of law (in many places). If you have ever seen a legit arresting case because "my son tricked me into thinking he was happy in love &/or planning to get married, how dare he!" lol I'd like to read the articles..

If you tried filing police report because you just feel betrayed?? that someone's relationship wasn't as authentic as you wanted it to be, it's extremely unlikely any officer wd take that situation seriously. There's enough REAL CRIMES in the world! We can't / don't even criminalize infidelity, we certainly won't go after folks for avoiding forced marriages by making private deals to merely appear otherwise occupied. It's no one's business to be controlling other folks lives anyhow, why you want to be against the one person saving these ppl from their forced fates?

Why the judgement as if you are getting personally hurt by the act of someone hiring SE? What does the authenticity of other ppl's relationships matter to you? What makes you want to press charges or think it's possible that others would or could? I find it fascinating to hear such assumptions, especially when they don't match up with the laws as I kno them. ♡

well India isn't relevant here, lol but often smth needs to exist (a registration) to have it altered, otherwise what exactly is being "legally changed"? when the legal status doesn't exist?? plus it's made clear there's no limit to how many times a person can be engaged or married in SK, long as the times are ~linear & not simultaneous, lol..

you cannot be arrested for merely making ppl believe you are married! there has to be actual breaking of laws like thievery, or some kind of financial fraud like with insurance or companies etc.. so consensual agreements btwn ppl to essentially improve both ppl's lives & avoid pressures? just fine ♡

obviously such an encompassing hoax wd be very difficult to pull off, but that's the point of exactly what we have seen happen as well - some got too attached, while others got upset & wanted to make trouble over it.. besides, it wasn't always a marriage deal - she also did temporary girlfriend roles as well as engagements.. the point of each was to show the families that the person deserved to live without being told what to do..

then there's the fact most all of the relationships were spoken of ~positively later on with no hard feelings by the ones involved as evidenced by the forum where those who appreciated her efforts gathered online to defend her reputation.. ♡

you seem to have confused much of the events: she only was married legally 13x, divorced on paper & in-court just 12x, & everything else was literally *faked* - *implied* - *just spoken* ie she wd fake a marriage then when the contract was ending, her & the person involved merely TOLD others that it ended in "divorce".. there was never any claim that she's been continuing "legal divorces" for "unregistered marriages" lol & they also explained that "common-law marriages" exist as well where ppl don't have to be registered to be considered married & those cases, no "legal divorce" needed, they just split up naturally.. & I only mentioned CP as to the ~reasoning behind her choosing this line of work, in that it was intended on helping ppl in stuck situations that she understood ♡

we do kno ~why, SangEun said she wanted to help ppl ~avoid being forced into arranged marriages by the other folks in their lives, thus by pretending to be married to her, she basically helped them get more independence.. she chose it because she could use all her training & skills as the "ideal wife" to try & make sure anyone who needed such help could avoid pressure to marry specific others like she was, had someone to turn to.. the classic series Coffee Prince started with a similar concept: guy hires someone to pose as his lover to avoid his parent(s) pushing marriage.. the arrangement changes to real love ♡ but SE's contracts clearly work on a temporary basis (until the person is effectively "free") either after a couple weeks or mths depending on the various reasons hired.. & JiHo did not hire her to escape any typical family pressures, they started as just pure quiet companionship & that is why it lasted so long - two lonely ppl made it a ~habit to keep each other company, with the ongoing pretext of it being "just work" ♡

Taxes may be one important civil duty, but there's not really any restrictions on how a person earns a living as long as it's overall not breaking any laws, & there are no rules on "accuracy" of job descriptions either, in most places anyways.. quite the opposite, SE's work could be as simplified as "life assistant", or "relationship manager", lol. Even "happiness helper" since her intention was to please badgering families in a way that left them mostly content after the time spent with them. I can't recall what her fancy business cards said but it was smth similar, so she'd likely be using that too, since what you put on paperwork usually matches all your records for proper filing. ☆

Hmm, the Yes or No duology (there's also a 3rd unrelated film with the same title that's nice) is rather good, for a f/f ship. For f/m, maybe You're My Pet? For m/m, the Wedding Banquet is a popular one, with some melo but a good ending. Then for "no ships, just cuuteness", How to Steal a Dog, about the most precious lil kids trying to gelp their mom in the most unexpected way, hehe. If you name a country location & streaming platform, I may be able to check actually available recs for you too (ie, I mostly use ~US Netflix, Hulu & Viki but I look on places like JustWatch to find things available elsewhere when interested) ♡

I'm often looking for similar vibes too, lol "equal love" in triangles is so rare! Not so interested in this one tho cuz both it & the original seem too wishy-washy with the cliche pushiness & "things kept hidden to up the angst factor with bad misunderstandings" & so on, but always got fingers crossed to find trio-shippy ~fluff, so if you dig up any.. ♡♡♡
