personally, it'd depend more on the story content itself & how the characters' personalities were as well as the implied "endgoal" (story turnout).. but I'm a fan of seeing dorks in love whatever the count or combo so I'd likely really enjoy it as long as the story was full of cuute scenes & very light on the angsty stuff xD

the catch there is "false equivalence" applies because "straightness" has long been considered a "default" status that is ~embedded in literally everyone's minds since birth so many, maaany non-straight ppl can go for years, decades even, *convinced* that ~that's where they fit in, especially in highly conservative societies - not every queer person knows their orientation from youth, no matter what stereotypes may imply.. it can take a lot of effort & time to figure out & that's why no one shd be labeled "permanently" (by others) anyways, as humans are adaptive by nature & can change a lot in various circumstances.. plus, fictional writing has even more freedom to explore those situations overall.. ☆

finally up to 4 eps in! I started late & I'm not much for bingeing lol so I have it paired with other dramas but hopefully I'll catch up eventually, even tho it's half-over for everyone watching "live" so far xD

(even tho your cmt is oldish now, lol) not "based on" exactly, but the general concept (certainly the title) are moreso "inspired by" that film, sure.. kinda like "13 going on 30" was also inspired by it, but instead went with a time travel twist & a rewind type of wrap-up after the "lesson(s]" were learned, as both those rooted in wishes made ("wishes gone wacky" shd be / probably is a bodyswitch trope, haha like Freaky Friday & Wish Upon a Star) but this is more like, no wishing & blends it with "soulswap after accident" trope wherein the older body actually belongs to someone else but is ~borrowed due to a mystery "coma situation".. anyway I just wrote all that in case someone might be as curious as I was too on the details, hehe.. xD

omg I'm only a few eps in but this is TORTURE! the female lead char's facial expressions are ~killing me!! talk about the worst & most OBVIOUS, cringey, glaring, not-subtle in the LEAST "dirty looks", scowls, "evil eye" type grimacing, EVER & like, when will it end?? to the point it would make any "normal" person uncomfortable lol the overacting here is over-the-top like I wish there was a warning if this is gonna be happening for more than 50% of the story, I don't kno if I can last.. it's not that "funny" to me for some reason x.x

eh, HaRi liked HyeJin just as she was, such friends do exist who are / may be "blind" to what others may see as "flaws" & HJ never seemed to have asked either & HR didn't seem the type to say "well if only you did this.." kind of potentially judgemental random cmts, from what I remember anyways.. plus not everyone can wear makeup so easily or maintain straight hair (there's some ppl whose best efforts last mere minutes at most, heh), so it makes sense to wish one can be accepted as they are by others & at their most comfortable state ♡ (but loool at the ~hyper voice, yeah.. that could definitely get a bit offkilter!)

loool only on MDL good ratings like ~76% approval get ppl up in arms, as if they are 20s/30s/40s, haha I could understand if it was *under* 50% (4.9 or lower) but for median scores to be as high as over ~60%, that's actually quite normal for a majority of popular things ♡ (but no total scores shd be taken "seriously" anyways, they're all subjective to begin with then balanced out to find the median/average combined)

the genuine answer is because it ~helps to "normalize" ie make the differences not seem so "strange" or "unusual" to the majority that have been made to believe such narrowmindedness for many years, so yeah of course "straight" folks don't have to announce it, because they are automatically ~assumed to be that way alrdy, yet non-het ppl then at least have a chance to enlighten the world around them & not only help open minds of older folks but also make it better for other young ppl to find their true selves too, no matter what they may have been told otherwise all their lives.. ♡
