Today's episodes were so damn good. After xin jia liang is out of the picture, it feels a lot more interesting. Teasers of coming episodes look really good.
I dont understand huan's work. How come she became a housekeeper, after having a managerial post. Its such a big demotion

I feel like arrange marriages are all about luck, its a pandora box. It might be the best thing for you, or the worst . With rising education and women empowerment going on, women being financially independent, get to choose. Hence divorce rates have significantly increased in metro cities.

Its all about perspective. Let me explain with an example. (Numbers I've stated donot represent real time statistics, they are mere variables for comparison)
I do not represent whole of south east asia , but i can share regarding my country specifically. Lets say 10 arrange marriages took place . Cheating rates are similar globally, incompatibility is an issue everywhere. Say 5 of those marriages get successful. Left 5 , the partnes dont have love between them , but for the kid's sake, societal and famailial pressures, they choose to compromise , and just live a love less marriage.
So what the world sees is 5 successful , 5 unsuccessful marriages.
On the contrary, in the west , Women being much more independent, choose to divorce, rather than continue living on. Firstly, in the west, arrange marriages dont really happen. So whoever gets married does so out of love , and the day they fall out of love, they choose to get separated (more frequent, compared to asians (southeast ). Therefore successful marriages 5, 5 got divorced.
So when you see you only see 5 happy marriages. You forget the other 5. And marriages seem all happy with faithful couples.
Believe it or not, there are good and bad people; faithful ,loyal and dishonest people everywhere, in equal proportions.
We definitely have one of our parent like huan's mom . An Asian household is incomplete without a nagging parent, a filial child(who'snot scared of sacrifising anything, for the sake of parent's happiness), societal pressure regarding marriage. So typical.
Having watched upto E 6, Now it looks beter. Up untill E5 i felt huan's boyfriend was being too good, why would they ever break up. But e 6 made it very clear. I was wondering why didn't she threw the ring on his face , while leaving.
Kai's character in this drama is sly as a fox. As the story proceeds , hope to see his character unfold.
I'm calling it now haein is going to die in the end ( i really hope she doesn't π)
She's been taking the WBC injections regularly these days. And if i remember it correctly , hyun woo mentioned to his mother that though the tumor has spread, its not growing actively further. Also the way they've highlighted miracles, I'm hopeful that its gonna be a Happy Ending . π€π»
idk if this is any true but i heard this in some other comments that after marriage keeping quite is a way to…
That's the sad truth.
In the drama, Hae in pretended to be strong, while feeling remorseful on the inside. Hyun woo on the other hand was disappointed in her, seeing her so carefree.
If people just gather some courage and speak up, maybe things would take a better turn.
I watched this drama ' the good bad mother', and this dialogue just stuck with me " Couples should treat each other as precious gems, they should treasure each other. And always be mindful about how they talk to each other ". Only if more people understood this.... Alot more people would have healthier and happier relationship/marriage.
Its crazy. They're communicating with each other so much better now that they're divorced. I love it how they're speaking out their minds, discussing solutions.
Is communicating really that hard in marriage? I wonder....
Just when i thought that the story wasnt making much progress in E 10, (i don't really enjoy watching villagers of yong du ri) Last half 15 minutes changed everything. I love it how they're keeping the viewers on the edge of their seat.
Initially, i thought soo cheol was just a spoild stupid brat. (Which he is in a way). But i feel his mom's overprotectiveness for soo cheol shaped him this way . There's this episode in which soo cheol said to his mom that she had never let him fall, due to which he couldnt learn lots of stuff. It makes sense .

Real life sucks.
