Are they together yet ? It's a 40epds drama so they gonna take their time isn't it ?
That's a long wait. I feel like they should figure out their situation around ep 20 . So that we get to see some happy moments, until finally when FL's family will make an issue out of it. (I haven't read the book so, not sure of plot line )
The earthquake scene reminds me of Descendants of The Sun. Song Yan is a Firefighter (but trains pretty much like in the military) XuQin is a doctor & in DOTS, Yoo Si Jin in the military, and Hyo Kyo's character was a doctor.
I'm sure this scene would bring back memories of DOTS
"This place seems oddly familiar " -Gu Won. Lol π π€£ I laughed hard on that one . The Red sleeve X King the land And that robe flick that he did with his suit π π π€£
I bawled my eyes out in this scene, where Jia Xu's dad passed away and Sang Zi opened her arms to comfort him. The way CZY broke into tears was just .....ππ And the cemetery scene too, so emotional And a freaking good acting.
It really is a mess. I hated the translation when Jia Xu and Sang Yan were talking, after Jia Xu met Sang Zi's parents,. It was hard to process what they talked about .
Not sure what you will feel. But for me, it was a happy ending. It was a 'content and satisfying'.People may choose…
As i mentioned earlier, it all boils down to one's perspective. A human being can never say that they've lived enough, if there were a choice nobody would ever coose to die. Its never the right time. And since you've defined a 'happy' ending , i would still say from my perspective, the ending was 'content and satisfying'. It was a happy ending . π

It depends on one's perspective. Yes, Kang ho's mum passed away, but she was happy in the end, she was happy with the life she's got and how she had so many people to love her and take care of her. She saw her grandchildren, her son becomeing a prosecuter & her husband finally getting justice. She passed away with no regrets. She was a terminally ill Cancer patient, so lets get real here, she was going through a lot of pain & she was relieved of that in the end, in the most peaceful way (her son singing her a song to sleep).
So, in my opinion it was a happy ending. Had she died midway in the drama, my opinion would totally change.

E16 was amazing.
I was reminded of Descendants of the sun.
Its gonna get harder now, waiting for new episodes.
