This show started out being the best show GMMTV has put out and it ended with it being the best show GMMTV has put out!
Iām so happy that this was my emotional āpick me up, drop me with the tears and sadness and pick me up againā.
TayNew Iām ready for another BL with you guys! Suradech supremacy!! Gramps will always be the best Grandpa because he reminds me of my own š
Dome you really are an amazing screenwriter and director and I will gladly watch any of your upcoming projects in the future!
Anyone who hasnāt watched this series yet, you are so lucky to be watching it for the first time and have the privilege to binge it! š¤ Iām not salty at all about that. But really though, I hope you love it just as much as I did each Wednesday!
As a fan of this show, I have some thoughts about the finale:
I understand Khen not wanting to be around Mas because he realized he was draining his life force, making him ill and it made me sad seeing Khen being distant out of fear, but Iām glad it didnāt last long.
I wish we could have seen more of Masās mother, Pailin, because she was so sweet towards Khen and I am so glad Mas got to see her after Khen stopped him from unaliving himself.
There were so many good takeaways about life. My favorite being this from Pailin to Mas: Sometimes, weāre not able to choose whether we continue living or not. If you still have to live on, donāt be afraid and live the life your heart desires.
I wanted their last kiss and night together to have been so much more than a dead fish kiss and then boom, next scene to Mas waking up shirtless without Khen next to him, leaving a cherry blossom on the pillow. So disappointing.
Khen meeting up with Bing, Toh, Thaen, and Namwah as they now descended into the afterlife together was touching too. But how did the groupās boss received the email from Khen when he is supposedly dead and has descended?
So it is assumed, for me at least, that the child that Mas named as Panjan is Khen reincarnated because of the birthmark on his forehead that Khen got in the accident. But then itās super confusing because Mas is 20 years old. By the time, Panjan grows up to be 20, Mas would be in his forties.
I donāt like that.
And then they made us even more confused by jumping to 2020 and we see Khen in university but Mas is there when he bumps into him, who I believe is reincarnated but was born to look the same. And starting back to the very beginning of how Khen got in the group in the first place, why?
So this was an attempt of I Feel You Linger in the Air, where Jom meets Yai, not only in Yaiās timeline but further back to general Yaiās timeline and finally back to Jomās present timeline but thereās a third Yai with sweet Yaiās memories but I fear if that was what this series was going for with the ending, they didnāt execute this at all and the message got lost.
Everything was clear for me up until the last five minutes. So now, this series ends with a rating of 7.5/10.
Anyone from Thailand who has the book by Violet Rain, if you can let us know how old was Khen reincarnated when he met Mas again while he was abroad and did the story go back to the year of 2020 at the end?
Part 2 of this episode was everything for me with Saintās story of what happened!! I also appreciated the minor details. Saintās father giving him fatherly advice even though he was nonexistent in the OG Korean version. Chadjenās father coming through with the financial support and advocating for Shin to have another chance. Mr. Sung actually caring about Shin instead of playing the noncaring teacher like in the OG Korean version. And the ending scene made me so happy!
Mas explained that he is the only person that can see Khen because heās a ghost and to me it makes sense why…
The part with Khen telling Mas about his father didnāt die in the war was only what he read in the history book about the owner and the house before meeting Mas for the first time but why or how his father died in Masās timeline wasnāt explained to me unfortunately.
Mas explained that he is the only person that can see Khen because heās a ghost and to me it makes sense why…
In the novel, he is dead but refused to move on because he wanted to stay with Mas. Now why his body is not found, I think thatās a supernatural element that would most likely be explained in the finale or disregarded completely.
Also in the novel, Mas moves abroad and meets a man who is believed to be Khen reincarnated. There was no mention of Khen being in a coma.
I should also mention that I know this because of someone who has read the novel and explained it to me much earlier in the series. Thereās currently no English translation of the novel but hopefully someone who has the book will be able to start translating or Violet Rain releases the book in English like she did for I Feel You Linger in the Air.
This is a spoiler!!! Before you go any further. I donāt think khen is dead yet. I think heās probably in a…
Mas explained that he is the only person that can see Khen because heās a ghost and to me it makes sense why Mas was getting sick because ghosts and living humans are not meant to fall in love with each other without hurting the one who is still alive. So I believe in the next episode, this is where the reincarnation comes into effect and why Masās mother said to Khen they can only be together while in the same state.
this was the revelation episode I was expecting and everything tied in so well together!! But Bing and Toh finding their bodies and them holding hands, I immediately started tearing up! And Sompohās story was so heartbreaking but finally she can now rest in peace! Canāt wait for the finale next week!
Do you have any idea how happy I was to see a teaser for this show?!?! I was just saying that I hope we have an update and it came!!! Letās freaking goooo!!! š„š„š„š„š„
Mark Pakin, is officially a part of my chosen family! (Anyone else agrees?)
Every role he has played from My School President, Bad Buddy, Last Twilight, Only Friends, I have appreciated him more and more.
And Chadjen is my favorite character by far!! He is such a sweetheart and so lovable!
Now to this episode!! Another hit and all the emotions were there and resonated so well!! Also Iām so excited for next weekās episode. šššš
Heung Soo (Shin for HSF) was understanding of why Nam Soon (Saint for HSF) was beating him up because that was protocol for anyone wanting to leave the group but because Nam Soon couldnāt control his anger , he damaged Heung Sooās leg. All because of his fear of losing his best friend and only family member and being left behind.
Heung Soo knew that Nam Soon didnāt mean to damage his leg. He knew that it was an accident but when Nam Soon saw Heung Soo from the hospital room, his guilt got the best of him and ran away, abandoning him.
Heung Soo was so angry at him because Nam Soon never apologized then for abandoning him and even wondered if Nam Soon ever missed him.
I was a wreck during that emotional scene. But I was so happy about their reconciliation process.
Hehe having watched School 2013, I already know the deeper meaning of why Shin loathes Saint. Itās one thing to hurt a friend out of anger but itās an entire different matter to straight up abandon them because of their own cowardice and guilt even if it makes sense.
And Iām so happy that thereās 16 episodes because thereās so many other storylines to follow with the teachers and other students!
I am so sad and angry that I just went to punch everything!!! ugh!! my heart hurts too much because it hits so close to home! ššššš This episode absolutely wrecked me!! ššššš
Nam sucks! And so does his parents for having all that money but forcing him to āwinā scholarships.
Ben and Jay are adorable! I couldnāt stop smiling at their interactions!
Yep, this will be another favorite!
Iām so happy that this was my emotional āpick me up, drop me with the tears and sadness and pick me up againā.
