This wasn't ground breaking or anything, but it was a good watch. What I really feel sad about is now I want - no, I NEED a drama with LSK and KMJ as the leads!!! They're SO GOOD together!!!

Right? He's had many second lead/main lead roles and support roles already which goes to show that he has the acting chops so he def deserves the support! I discovered him in 100 Days My Prince and I def remember thinking how he has the charm and abilities to be a good lead!

Oops!! Sorry about that! 😅 I'm just a bit familiar with the Waikiki series, but not of the other two. Thank you so much for the info! Yes definitely, his sudden fame after Start Up affected the popularity of HomeCha, and even the fact that Min Ah is the FL most definitely gave it more publicity as well (Queen of RomComs, imo). But I agree, that isn't the sole reason why this is getting so much attention and praise, and credit should be given when it is due.

Wow, some people are just that petty, huh? 😓 KSH has been acting for a few years and this is his first lead role so of course KSH stans would be rallying behind him, but that doesn't mean that he ain't doing his job well. *sigh*
And yes, I agree with you as well when it comes to the chemistry of the cast! Not just between the 3 leads, but also we have the brotherhood between Chun Jae and Doo Shik, friendship between Hye Jin and Mi Seon, Ju Ri and Chun Jae, the chief and his ex wife, the ahjummas, and even the kids are playing their characters so well! I just hope the writing does not become lazy towards the end, because I read some comments on the MDL page of the movie this was based on ("Mr. Hong") and they say that there were plot holes and unresolved points. Let's just continue to give support and hope that the writers and everyone else on the team keeps up their good work! 화이팅 !
It's going great so far, and I can't wait for the further development!!! I really hope that they don't disregard the plot points or twists that they are working so hard to build up! I've seen this pattern in some Kdramas and it always disappoints me, and makes an otherwise good kdrama filled with plot holes and unfinished storylines. One thing that I appreciate with this is that they made Chief Hong and the PD somewhat friends (bromance alert huhu love) before they knew they were both involved with Hye Jin. It gives both characters depth and a separate identity from the FL and I really found that refreshing compared to all the rom-com love triangles.
I just don't understand the significant amount of "hate" (can it be called hate? IDK) it's getting. It's a romcom so if you don't like romcoms, you obviously won't like it. Most romcoms are predictable and full of cliches. Don't like those either? Go watch Save Me, or Flower of Evil because you DEFINITELY will not like this. But for people who love romcoms and cliches, this is a great watch (so far!). I've watched a fair amount of romcoms that just don't live up to the hype, disregard the main plot point or resolve it prematurely, and has characters with no depth at all. There are romcoms with very famous main leads but are still considered a "flop".
HomeCha, so far, is doing so well and if they keep up this momentum and just don't resolve things prematurely, it's going to be such a success!!!
And yes, that is Mr. Queen 😂 I absolutely love that crazy stupid drama. Makes me laugh and cringe and cry to unexplainable levels
