I don't think there is much of a difference between FL & ML in this regard. Jung Hae In is a bit lacking too, even his smiles are a bit unnatural, at least compared to his tryharding amazing self in previous works.

This is the worst acting I've seen from JHI & JSM so far. They are still good, just not up to their normal level, seems like they just want to relax while filming this romcom, or maybe the director is not taking it very seriously either.

I enjoyed it so far, don't misunderstand, but this is so far from their best is all..

The specified genre (not just on MDL) is comedy+romance. Terminal illness is very very unlikely.

I've been wondering why is Rao Jing's actress so familar to me. Sure I've seen her in GGS, but her visuals were just too different and then it hit me! One of the Korean archers in the Olympics looked just like her in this drama :-)

Second FL is pushing really hard to get with ML, but she has very little screen time & her role is only that of being harshly turned down every time. So it's a pretty weak triangle.

They agree to get married in either ep1 or ep2, but love becomes very obvious to both parties around ep8-9.

You could have chosen almost anything and you had to pick Coffe Prince & Secret Garden. I think you are extremely wrong with your assessment of these too. (and I'm basing this on having watched these in 2018-2019 & rewatched Secret Garden last year) I agree with My Girl tho, that one is unbearable in the final episodes.

Yes, dialog is hard, there is no denying that, but the plot shouldn't be neglected.

There are only so many "30 somethings doing elementary school level romance" dramas I can take. Sex scenes are not needed, but low key imply it & don't get super excited about handholding for the fifth time.

I think the big one is that the writing quality has dropped tremendously in recent years, especially when it comes to forming a coherent plot, the dialog still tends to be rather good.
