That will be book 2, preparing to fight the invasion.
I feel that book 1 & 2 are enjoyable to almost anyone who is into popular science or futurology. Book 3 not so much, the concept of dimensions is not very well thought out. There is also that thing with slowing down lightspeed within a localized area. I for one don't think the human brain and nervous system can function in such circumstances..
Noticed that too, since the beginning, always feel that they could have better editing. It’s like every ep only…
I have read the books and it was tedious and yet I was still wondering if people wound understand those flashback scenes without a text notification. (about younger Ye Wenjie) I was surprised that episode I watched yesterday had a proper text intro for the flashback finally. (it was either 5 or 6)
There is no reason to wait, this is only about book 1 & while the other two books are sequels they have mostly…
It's been more than 5 years since i've read the last book, but I recall there were MAJOR time skips in book2. (on the scale that characters literally died of old age)
The books at least the first 2 are absolutely incredible & largely inspired western Science Fiction writers for…
"I try to just focus on applauding the folks who do stand out and say things, because that takes guts."
Could you do it in that position? Would you give up your life, or at least the life & carrier that you've built just to speak out by yourself? I'm certainly more selfish than that.

Not saying your points are completely invalid, but following that logic you shouldn't watch ANY cdrama at all, because I guarantee you the cast will have at least 1-2 ppl that said something on social media that you would strongly dislike and rightly so. Also, if you watch these from a legal source you are supporting the CCP as well with your money.
As for the author, in the New Yorker interview he has directly parroted the Chinese propaganda about this issue. If you asked any mainland Chinese about this, this would be one of the most likely responses to that question.
I was trying to find more about the story and discovered that the author, Liu Cixin's novel has pro-authoritarian,…
The books at least the first 2 are absolutely incredible & largely inspired western Science Fiction writers for over 10 years now. I don't care much about the author's public and personal political views, though I call bullshit about the subtext thing in the Three Body series, though if you want to over-explain every little thing, maybe it is possible to go in that direction!?
He is a celebrity in China & celebrities have to openly support the powers that be, or be banned forever..
What are your favorite American Sci-Fi series? Im looking for something to watch with space/time travel and aliens
I'll go with Stargate, as silly as it is at times. Scifi works like this one are a rarity in Hollywood, because Scifi productions are expensive to make & the studios seem to think drama sells more than hard science fiction.
Orville is fun, but it's more of an educational comedy than actual scifi, even more so than Star Trek.

I wouldn't be so certain about that..

No it's not military action. It's hard science fiction with some incredibly cool concepts introduced to the genre in 2008.

If you like Sci-fi I can recommend Three Body. (It's the adaptation of the most popular -in the West- Chinese novel of all time)
