wondering if I should not watch it , the comments are mentioning insensitivity and poorly made comments about…
Due to the comments I have specifically watched the holocaust related scene in episode 9. It's very insensitive, but not to the point where I would cancel the show for it. People sometimes forget that education on EU history is barely present in some of the big Asian nations, they just don't get it, it's not necessarily the result of harmful intent, just ignorance. (this is worse than the Africa thing is Shooting Stars though, but it's hard to say what the writer was thinking when she wrote that line)
I have looked at your "faves" list just now, based on that I think I would stay away.
In which ep do the leads get together? (looking for a precise answer)
edit: *scratches head*
edit2: qBlood's answer is right.
edit3: beslyf22's answer is also right. Good grief this is a wee bit stupid. The writer did not really respect the audience's intelligence. Is it possible there was a minor semi-breakup scene that has gotten axed before the Drama passed censorship?
". We want sweet scenes but not a drama full of them. "I respectfully disagree with this. The problem here is…
"needed more angst and sorrow" of course that is not what I meant. I meant that there are similar angst free cdramas that kept my attention far more. Perhaps it is really just a matter of taste.
Just finished this. I waited until the long weekend to finish the last 7 episodes. Giving my final two cents on…
". We want sweet scenes but not a drama full of them. "
I respectfully disagree with this. The problem here is that the sweet scenes are a bit bland. Just compare this drama with My Fated Boy, You Are My Glory, or even GGS2. Maybe the lack of comedy is also a problem.

Since I started watching kdramas 5 years ago I have only seen one drama where the toxic parent had been abandoned and one where the toxic parent and the new spouse just kept on fighting even after children have been born. The enmity between parents and spouses is ridiculously strong in this one to begin with, I have no hope.
A part of me doesn't understand why they can't be together??? Why must he suffer because of what his mother did.…
If you understand Asian & especially Korean culture, where Confucianism is still one of the most important forces governing family relations, then it's easy to understand. Even in a more open western society the family history of these two would be a relatively difficult thing to deal with.
Honestly when I learned what the makjangish base setup is, I should've dropped it then and there, since a satisfying ending is unlikely.
