I am just curious being homophobic is a bad thing now?? Anyways, the first 2 episodes weren't bad, let's see where…
it's a bad thing, obviously. what if people started hating, stealing from, and denying straight people the basic needs just because they're straight? wouldn't that be pretty bad.
Fyi this one has a rapist in it,and removed bl from a bl novel
I know. But that rapist is in a lot of other shows that people have rated super high. Imo he should be banned from the Korean film industry, but I feel bad for other actors who are part of this drama, especially the young ones who are just starting their careers.
I understand the appeal and why ppl love it sm despite not liking it myself but it genuinely boils my blood when…
imo it's a masterpiece of noir because 1) evil vs evil 2) charming characters 3) korean comedy 4) paying homage to the best noir works ever made and also other works like the delacroix painting, the leonardo DiCaprio wine glass, a mix of korean and Italian culture, Italian classical music, old hollywood gangster movies with well dressed gangsters who always had a cigar (except here he does NOT have a cigar, just a lighter), and actual revenge instead of forgiveness.
the filmmaker who's made this has an actual appreciation of korean culture, a good understanding of Italian steeotypes because she makes fun of them in the drama, love for movies, especially noir and gangster films. honestly, just for entertainment, it's a good show. but the appreciation the writer and the director have for everything else I mentioned...that's next level.
