Nobody was expecting romance. They clearly said fantasy occult historical. N I’m a huge fan of both the leads n still hated the show. In fact we did not expect romance. They were only shoving down whatever nonsense version of it was down our throats
💯 and before u think I’m a hater I was literally googling updates on the show for the past one year. I watch a lot of occult. This was just a mess. N no I was not expecting any romance. The whole story was a mess. Literally no proper explanation or resolution on anything. So disappointing. And half baked character dev is another huge issue. Specially the King and ML characters. N also korean writers again proving they suck at writing female characters. I felt nothing for anyone except the gwomoksali. Look at Exhuma or Revenant. That’s how u write occult.
When I watched Queen of the Ring years ago, I genuinely thought the male lead was Nam Joo Hyuk ðŸ˜

I find their pairing v calming. Like watching a beautiful painting. Can’t really explain it. Has almost an ethereal quality to it. Never seen anything like it. N I watch a shit ton of content.
When the dude went blind for a bit I was like not only do him n ahn hyo seop look alike, now they both played blind beast/human in historical setting 😂
Can anyone tell if they have shot for more episodes and they plan to release it later as s2 ? Coz they took so long to shoot and then another year for post prod and cgi. Can’t be just for 8 episodes right ?
I’m relatively new to Chinese dramas so can someone please explain why tf they release trailers when the show is nowhere close to airing ? They seriously have the most chaotic film making process. I follow Indian , Hollywood and Korean content . They don’t even release trailers 3 months b4 release dates (generally). N once they release majority of the time the content is pushed out unless they really have a damn good reason to postpone . Usually they don’t coz everywhere else it’s apparently really bad to postpone and could result in losses. I seriously hate it . Some dramas are literally stuck in limbo for years despite having big big names

The witch atleast has the suspense element going on . N the concept is v v new. Only drawback repeats a lot of scenes coz it’s ML POV in one ep and FL POV in another. Still shining is just dumb
#springfever loving the show specially the leads and the kids but y tf do they stray so far away from the WEBTOON or novel. Stick to the source material. Ep 3 ending made no sense and nothing close to that happened in it. Drives me nuts . Why do they do this every single time. Honestly there are only a handful of webtoons that are true to their source material . Ones I can think of right now are spirit fingers and cheese in the trap (barring the ending because the writer still hadn’t finished the WEBTOON)
