PARK BO YOUNG is overrated
There are some things that have always frustrated me about this actress . Y does she talk like a little girl when she’s miji. Even the younger version of the actress who is an actual high school girl did not portray it or talk like that. The character brief was basically that she is more open and outgoing than her twin . Which is how the younger version portrayed it . Meanwhile park bo young’s default for this brief is to switch talking like a little girl and pout. Like every other character she’s portrayed in this beat (strong women do bong soon ) . Coming to mirae’s the portrayal here is pretty much what she has done in her previous two shows . (daily dose of sunshine ) Don’t even get me started on the dumb choices these characters make . Sends her twin sister to take her place in the office with zero information on the important stuff . Some of the plot points seem to be clearly driven by the fact that they can’t have both mirae and miji in the same scene due to logistics . Kim eun sook’s poorest screenplay
It’s really disappointing watching actors like Kim woo bin and Suzy bring their A game to a show that was so badly written that even surpasses shows like king the land. What explanation is there that this pairing who had amazing chemistry in their previous show, started to struggle in this show around ep 4 itself . The actors also look like they are really comfortable with each other too and both of them are seasoned actors at this stage in their career. They did try their best but there is only so much you can do when the script is this horrible . The story and characters are all over the place . Some gags like the genie being super goofy and switching to ruthless or Suzy bashing him up all the time looked ridiculous after a point. Apart from some high points towards the end like the backstory and Suzy’s final arc everything else is just filler which could have all been wrapped up in 8 episodes instead of 13 . The angel character made zero sense and had zero contribution to the overall storyline. To top it off they got a terrific actress like Ahn eun Jin and gave her little to nothing to do. Don’t get me wrong . I love Kim eun sook’s work . I have watched shows like king eternal monarch several times (which has so many plot holes). But this show is so bad . And I haven’t even touched upon the cultural in appropriations. Please at least do better by the actors and the crew who have put their faith in youWas this review helpful to you?
Dynamite cliche
This show is like watching a series of rom com and kdrama cliches stitched together as one show . Depending solely on the leads chemistry to make up for lack of creativity . It’s not like we are expecting some path breaking concept for these kind of shows . But some bare minimum effort is required. What’s the point in this day and age if ChatGPT can also generate the storyline for this show and it’s now all up to the actors to make up for everything and their fan base to make it successful. And don’t even get me started on the second ML character . If anyone is suffering from second ML syndrome please watch this show . It will kill that emotion in you . Not blaming the actor though. So so disappointed . It even begins with a classic rich CEO ML and poor af FL trope. It would have atleast been a bit more fun if they were trying to spoof these kind of shows from the 90’s and 2000’s . But no way.Was this review helpful to you?
Fun watch . Rom con vibe
It’s probably what dynamite kiss should have been . It’s just a fun light show. But it has a basic storyline atleast . And the characters are a little bit more funny and endearing . Nothing too deep here . So manage your expectations . Don’t expect a masterpiece coz it’s not that type of a show. Read the WEBTOON also by the way . They have made a shows but in a good way. Enjoyed it so far and if they continue to adapt it as per the WEBTOON it might end up being a show I can easily recommend if you just wanna chill and watch a kdrama that’s not too heavy .Was this review helpful to you?
