I agree on this so much!! OST really matter, and I think it can really make series better. Also recently the lack…
Thank you for taking time to read this article and comment!
I agree, I think recently there have been a couple of recent dramas where the OST has been forced and cheap sounding, even irrelevant in parts. It's horrible, and I really notice it too. For example, I was watching a K-drama horror related show on YouTube, as the first episode was free to watch. Anyways, what out me off from watching further was the fact that the OST was just so out of place and unprofessional. I would have understood if it was a different genre and not a professionally made drama, but yeah I agree lol.
I've not actually checked out the 'Mask' OST but it is now on my list! To be fair there are so many OST's I could have put in this article, like Goblin as another example!
Are there any OST's that have disappointed you? :)
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read this article and leave a comment! Do you have a favourite…
That's amazing! It seems like the Goblin OST is very popular and I have to agree, it's great. I could have included so many different OST's on this article. I'm glad you also love the Life OST just like myself! ^-^
And thank you for taking time out of your day to read it and comment afterwards! I have a question for ya then,…
I wish I did now! To be fair all I remember was that it was Spanish and the action scenes with the stunt crew was actually really good! But the OST did throw me off guard haha. :D And yeah I can see that point-of-view about a comedic sense, but unfortunately it wasn't much of a comedy so I had to presume it was serious lol. But I like the way you look at things like that!
I'm actually starting Hotel Del Luna after I watch Cheese in the Trap (which I am currently watching) so I'm glad that you have said that! I'm not going to lie I haven't watched any C-Dramas yet. Do you have one you would recommend for a beginner to C-Dramas? :)
You're welcome! <3. As you consider an OST as more of a secondary feature, I recommend you to watch Triad Princess (even though I said I found it forgettable - and I stick to that). The reason why I'm suggesting that you should watch it is because I think you would still like it, like you said, you're more of a visual person, and Triad Princess visually (especially cinematography wise) is stunning. It's a Taiwanese drama and not a historical/wuxia, but I think you would appreciate the visuals. Plus the episodes are short, 6 episodes and they are 30 minutes each. Like I said, I had to re-read my review to remember what had happened, but that's because I guess I'm an 'auditory viewer that relies on a good soundtrack' whereas you are a 'visual viewer that relies on good visuals'. I hope you don't find it weird that I suggest you watch a show that I've said I found forgettable lol. But I think you might like it, and if you need to cleanse yourself from watching too many historical c-dramas at once, it's there lol. <3

Haha yeah I guess you're right! I remember watching one television show on Netflix one time where it was an action show with guns and robberies but for some reason their OST was full of classical music! :D
That's awesome! Do any spring to mind that you have not mentioned previously? :)
I just listened to this song and wow you are not wrong, what a nice piece of music, thanks for mentioning it! You do certainly have a great taste in music!! :D
I'm obsessed with OST's. It really does add that extra punch to a drama because music is so evocative and instantly…

I definitely could have put My Mister's OST on this article too, the music selection they had used for their scenes were amazing! For the other's you have named I wouldn't be able to say - only because I haven't watched them yet, but I'll probably start watching them all soon now ^-^. Do you have a drama which you would have preferred to have had a stronger OST?
It's an interesting article, thank you for sharing! :)A fitting and memorable OST certainly makes the viewing…

I have a question for ya then, would it matter if you watched a drama you loved watching but the music they included was not only bad but also didn't fit the theme of the drama you were watching? E.g you were watching a romance drama but for some reason the OST had more of a rock/screamo type of music OST with it. Just curious :)
I definitely get where you are coming from when you talked about being more of a visual kind of person and not paying attention to the background music, I know the majority of my friends are like that too lol. But I'm glad you are still able to identify your favourite OST's! Out of the ones you have named, which is your favourite? ^-^
Yeah I will definitely watch it again at some point, I hate not finishing a drama! Don't worry, I wasn't looking at it from a critics point of view, for some reason for me so far, it just hasn't clicked.
The main positive I do have though when I re-try finishing Abyss is the cast, as I'm familiar with a few of the actors and actresses and I know they are great. But i'll let you know when I start watching it again for sure! Hopefully I will like it the next time I decide to give it a go! xoxo
I haven't dropped a drama yet although I have been very close on a couple of occasions, for me, the reason I would only ever drop a drama is if I find it really boring. Because at least if I find the drama bad, at least I can laugh about how bad I find it. When it's boring, you can't do that.
Thank you for taking time to read this article and comment!
The Flower of Evil OST is now on my list too! Apart from KTEM, are there any other OST's you feel are overhyped? :)

I understand your habit very much so, I do very similar things! ^^
I have a question for you then! What was the first OST you had listened too in full? Also, which was the first OST you thought was pure perfection?

I have just listened to this and it's great! And I agree, I truly believe that an OST can make or break a drama!
Could you name a drama where you didn't like it's OST? How much did it impact your feelings towards the drama as a whole?
