Screenwriter and producer Yu Zheng took to Weibo to assure drama fans that the upcoming xianxia drama #Feud is different from other Bai Lu costume dramas.
This, after some c-netizens commented Bai Lu has been doing lots of costume series especially xianxia and they feel that she had nothing new to offer to drama viewers anymore.
He said, "Lu Lu (Bai Lu) and Xiao Xi (Joseph Zeng)have completely different performances in the play from their previous performances. You will not see any traces of their previous performances in the play. I watched the editing and music process many times, but I will still be led to cry and laugh by them".
Yu Zheng also said Feud is his first Xianxia drama (most of the costume series he wrote and produced are palace historical dramas).
"The process of making it is very enjoyable, because I have tried many new methods and new technologies. Whether it is the narrative of a long drama or the innovation of audio-visual, I hope to bring a completely different feeling to the audience. My story is mysterious, and the answer must be found in the play".
