RJL doesn't usually use his own voice, most of his previous dramas had dubbed voices, one of his recent modern dramas is his own voice. Anyways, I think this one is dubbed might be to differentiate from the modern portion.

Since it's scheduled to end on Sept 8th, it's possible that forever and ever will air on 9th as early promo for Sweet On indicated (Sweet On is the thing where they promo bunch of dramas together like Light On, forever and ever is the last of the series). Sweet Teeth started little early, by normal schedule, forever and ever will start on 27th or 30th as they originally planned. Either way, shouldn't be too long.

unlikely, the drama is slated as a webdrama, and to air on tv, it'll probably have to be recut and go through the whole process again.

different rules back then, it's more fair to compare to dramas in last two years, Joy of Life for example, that drama aired on iQiyi and WeTV though.

They are referring to diva hit the road 2, she didn't really do it on purpose and she technically wasn't the one primarily at fault. There were 7 people and they were given 2 phones on the trip. 4 people finished their daily interview, zheng shuang who was the tour guide for the portion decided they should go back to hotel first, she had one of the phones, Xu Qing had another.

The three people left behind were Ning Jing, Xu Qing and Yang Yang, they had interviews at different place, the driver told NJ that he can take her back first, so she agreed. Driver came back, Xu Qing got on and thought she was the only one left (driver said so) so she got back too. When they realised that YY wasn't there, people wanted to go and find her, for some reason, ZS was convinced he could make his way back by himself and wouldn't let people go and look for him. YY was convinced that someone would come pick him up, and refused the show's behind the scene people to take him. Eventually YY tried to find his way back, and other people finally went out to look for him so they found him, it was just absolutely terrible to watch. By the way, I think they filmed Love O2O after this....

I saw their reference. There's two photo with raised arm, one looks like reference to short movie he did, one still looks like nazi salute to me. I'm actively angry the tweet said "guess you can't raise arms anymore' wtf, people could you shut up if you don't know what you are talking about.

He had other stuff bought up, I mean even this string of event started with Nogi shrine and wedding guests being alt-right + groom being suspected alt-right. Few weeks ago, there were all these talk about him having a fiancee (liuliang/popular actors tend to have lot of fans that don't like them having a partner) and he got away relatively unscathed, just lost some fans.

It's rough being a celebrity and having your whole life under scrutiny but it's sort of why they get paid so much and is so popular? Anyways, this is not the first time fans tell me I'm spreading rumours when I'm stating what I literally see on weibo live (different celeb though) because I wanted to give context to international audience that's clearly missing the why all the cnetizens are mad. Rewatch counts, any clicks in the domestic market count for the viewcount here (some fans have been known to watch trailers on repeat to boost it, then later they watch the "watch only him/her" that only last for few mins on repeat). They have stricter rules for effective viewcount, but that's for their company use, so we don't see it.

He posted the Yasukuni shrine photos onto his weibo too, so he's just....dumb. yeah i think he thought it might be cool to break the "unspoken rule" or maybe he thought imperialism was cool (which is all kinds of ???? to me honestly), which means he should probably go to school again.

I'm not hating on him, I'm posting what cnetizens' perspective are to explain why all the endorsements dropped him, and how serious this is to chinese people, a body of context that I think a lot of international audience might be missing.

Well a year and half of that was COVID, and he was in Japan just before COVID hit national level (a week or so before) so lol. It's not really matter of people being gullible, it's the fact it happened.

You know how this started, allegedly his fan wanted to show off video of his Japanese at a friend's wedding, said wedding is held at Nogi Shrine, similarly problematic, but much lesser known, there's bunch of stuff they suspect but I don't think it's his problem. Some people got pissed and kept digging, boom Yasukuni Shrine.

I've seen the Japanese Imperial Flag car before by the way (when WoH was airing, you naturally get your social media ransacked and potential problem stuck all over the internet), it was liiittle iffy he didn't apologise and seem upset at people telling him to delete it, but I also thought ok maybe he's just really ignorant, but this body of context eeek.

I have no issue suspecting someone might be trying to pull him down, but usually you don't have photos of Yasukuni Shrine on your social media. I've got nothing, it's not like he was photoshopped onto it. cnetizens don't recognise Yasukuni Shrine on sight, as most people have never been there, so yeah someone just suspected and did comparison, and more comparison just confirmed it and it spread like wildfire.

I do think it started as an anti attack, but the moment the photos of Yasukuni shrine appeared, along with photo of a car painted with Japanese Imperialism flag (which he reluctantly deleted after being told it's not ok, he wasn't happy about it) that's nope to hell and back. These happened in different years. I don't think he's pro-Japan but that's not the issue here.

There's absolutely no way he can grow up in China and not know what that shrine means. Even if you went there out of curiousity, you wouldn't post it on social media, and he's a celebrity, a celebrity that's been in the industry for over a decade. He literally have no awareness whatsoever. It houses war criminals, generals that instigated the war, unless he went to burn the shrine down, he's never going to come back from this. People don't forget Yasukuni Shrine.

His friend's wedding wasn't the big issue, it's the fact he went to Yasukuni Shrine, there's no way you could grow up in China without knowing what that shrine means. Japan never apologised for its war crimes, still gloss over actual history of invasion and horrific human experimentations (731 if you are morbidly curious). The shrine houses generals of the war that ordered this, they are literal war criminals. Every single time a Japanese government official visit, Chinese diplomats will protest loudly about it, so him as a Chinese really really can't miss it. With the Japanese Imperialism flag and that Nazi salute as body of context, it's just a million years of not okay.

Honestly, even if you visit for whatever reason, it's just so dumb to post it on your social media, so so so dumb. There's no way to recover from this IMO, Yasukuni shrine is a HUGE no zone. People do not forget stuff like this. You know what else is brutal, the estimated 35millions people that died in that war, the comments are for those people. I have friends that's fan of him after WoH, but lol this crossed the line way way too hard, they were yelling and pretty upset about it yesterday.

Cnetizens are known for being harsh, but there are lot of chinese people, there are also a lot that's so very forgiving, and so willing to forgive on other people's behalf. Cnetizens often complain that the industry is full of people with so so face and so so acting, all of the attitude, and none of the work ethics, but they earn massive amount of money, outrageous amount because there are people that like them, so when scandals go down, there's a huge reaction. This one is more than your usual scandal, definitely on par with Kris Wu's if not worse.
