Yep, same here, LYX especially. That one crying scene tugged at my heart in so many ways and that's when I truly appreciated his acting.

Prince of Lan Ling was the very first one I saw but I didn't watch any other cdramas until Ashes of Love years later and that's what got me hooked.

Next year or later works for me, that's better than what I dreamt 😥. I don't have too many nightmares but hyx has been on my mind lately so maybe that's why I dreamt about it.

I just had a dream, a nightmare really but because my dreams/nightmares never come true, hyx will definitely air and hopefully soon.

Some of these are masterpieces, some not so much lol. I can give you a separate list of dramas I think are really good, which includes some on her but also others.

It is low budget and can barely be called a drama because of how short each epi is but was my guilty pleasure for a couple of weeks when it was airing. Don't say I didn't warn you lol

I feel the same way, for example, most people seemed to love "Ice Fantasy" and I tried 3 times and failed each time to get passed episode 13 (I'm starting to see a trend here lol) but sat through something like, "The sweet blood" without complaint

I am currently watching it and by "currently" I mean, I am on episode 13 but I started watching it 2 months ago. Since then, I have completed 18 new dramas, re-watched 4 and I'm in the middle of 3 others. I cannot exactly pin point what my issue is with it but for some reason I just can't get fully immersed in it yet. The costumes are pretty, the acting is good (Zhou Dong Yu acting is really cute and she pulls off the part of a spoilt goddess well and I love Liu Xue Yi character). There are definitely worse dramas out there that I have completed and in a more timely manner so maybe I just need to set everything aside and focus on this one. So in short, for me so far it's good, just not great. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a proper review but If you do watch it and get ahead of where I am, please let me know if I should keep going.

That is true but I'm just not ready for the change in Kdramas. Globalisation does however benefit everyone in the industry, actors, producers, etc. so they most probably don't mind it.

You precisely summed up how I have been feeling about Kdramas over the past year or so. I've been watching Kdramas over 10 years now and recently the pickings have been slim when it comes to dramas that I like, mainly because I can see the western influence in what is available to watch with subtitles. Out of desperation I have watched a few of the kdramas on Netflix, and except for, "Crash Landing on You" which I liked, I have barely been able to finish the rest even though they were starring some of my favourite actors. With the shutting down of Dramafever and the limited non-western influenced Kdramas available on Viki, I fear that my days of binge watching and sleepless nights will soon come to an end. On a positive note, the lack of Kdrama content I like has lead me to to Cdramas where I discovered Xianxia and Wuxia. Because Cdramas have many more episodes than Kdramas, hopefully it takes me some time to get through the backlog of all those I have missed out on watching over the years.
