Because of censorship this has to be in a book or anything remotely similar "real" time travel or even body swap stories are not allowed and have to be integrated into "reading a book", "having a dream" or something similar - otherwise the drama is not allowed to air/be produced.
So just keep in mind that any story where the hint of "dream" or "book-reading" is only at the beginning and/or end of the drama -> the scriptwriter and directors only put this part of the story into the drama to be able to actually air the drama.
Just remove that part from the story and your mind. Then you have the actual story the drama supposed to tell :-)
I like sports and romance movies. But watching Asian dramas with their clichés can destroy the best part.It is…
I am 100% with you on principal.
But I do not think that Taejoon gave into his mom. He was ready to fight for their relationship.
I believe he initiated the break up because of two reasons: One: he found out that Taeyang promised his sister to break up because she knew as long as Junyoung did not agree with their relationship she could never do that to her Two: Knowing exactly this Taejoon "sacrificed" himself and saved Taeyang from bringing up the breakup and did it himself. Although I believe that at any time he was ready to take the necessary steps to Taeyang if and when his sister would forgive her.
Also: Taeyangs Fosterdad was out of line a lot of times, however the mother of Taejoon was not that bad. She was not devious, she was up front with everybody. This was not just about "being against a potential daughter-in-law", this was about someone who injured her daughter, even though it happened without malice, and she and her daughter/husband would have to interact with this woman probably on a "daily" bases and could potentially become her daughter-in-law which she would/should welcome into her family.
Welcoming someone into your family that has hurt or wronged one of your loved ones is extremely hard to do - for anyone.
there is sort of between the ML , FL and SML but it won't last long, the ml and sml will become very close friends…
Actually not true. They get seperated - yes. But thats before they start dating and his profession has nothing to do with it. Actually it does not deal at all with him being an idol and getting a girlfriend They are getting together in the second episode after he returns
There are obstacles to overcome but angst is nit really part of it. Nothing compared to other dramas. It is light hearted
I thought that i was the only one that saw that Wen Tao was incredibly annoying and persistent... i was already…
No probs. I get the feeling, especially with this character :-D
To me his reaction to their engagement felt just REALLY out of place. It's not like he ever had a chance. Every single turn he got rejected and he knows she has a boyfriend more than that: ml and fl had been together at that point for over a year. That is just bad writing because the character reacted like he suddenly found out she had boyfriend and got engaged two days prior to the engagement party
I could understand everything he did up until paris (you can hope) and even the time in paris I could understand "his hopes" of going between them (being alone in the city of love with her and all that) - however: it was still annoying all the way
Everything after she returned home (WITH her bf): thats just straight up stupid and did not fit into the rest of the story. He flipped because she got quarantined and attacked ml - common. how stupid can you be. Its not like they slept together or broke the rules together and she got sick because of that.
It felt like the writers created a great script and then said: lets put in one character that does not fit the entire message/story/underlying theme and make him as much as annoying as possible ;-D

I am really celebrating the director :-D I love the fact that the girls are drinking corona in episode 24 while the corona pandemic was part of the story. This kind of humor is exactly my cup of tea. First thing I did after catching covid was sending out pictures of me with a corona :-D (and yes: I did stock up corona for this possibility)
Overall: Wen Tao was incredible annoying and his whole storyline seemed misplaced compared to the rest of the story Xao Ji was unnecessary however: I saw that kind of character coming. the entire script screamed that out loud.
tbh - one of the most beautiful well rounded drama I have ever watched It stays true to itself, does not exaggerate anything and keeps everything simple but true
This drama gave me a really rare feeling that I don't get often with any drama (even those I have rated 10): Completion! My heart does not want to add anything to this story and does not miss anything. There is not a single thing of the story missing in this drama, there is not a single unnecessary scene. This to me is a gem.
The acting is great.
Hayashi Kento is amazing in this drama and although I like every character and every actor he outperformed everybody. It truly felt like he embodied this role and there is only one comparison purely based on "nailineg a difficult character" for me: Joo Won as Park Shi On in Good Doctor Amazing work !
This drama was cute, funny and the cases were great and "dark" as they portrayed some of the struggles of human beings. I liked the over all character development, the different types of characters and the storyline for all couples. Overall I give this 8/10 because I do like the main couple and their story
This drama could have been amazing if Fan Qi and his story was completely removed. I understand that his story also gave a very interesting insight into human psychology but in reality it felt out of place for this drama and compared to the other cases it had less impact on me although his story was much more time consuming. Fan Qi is supposed to be a primary support role but if you remove his character and story completely, it almost has zero affect on the overall story and character development - at least thats how I feel about him.
I wanted more time to watch the character development of the supporting cast, especially Yan Luo and Zou Yan. The Fan Qi story got in the way of that and this is unfortunate.
I saw some clips on youtube...is the ML the teacher of FL at college? And when does that happen? it sounds different…
The ML is a psychological counselor and a college professor. however they do not meet as teacher and student. They meet because of a patient of the ML and eventually FL will start working as assistant for ML and also tries to further her own knowledge in the field of psychology. But because you have to have a degree in this field to qualify as a certified professional, she starts to attend his classes. this "little arc" is only about 3 episodes and just subplot to further the interesting case that it triggers. By the time she becomes his student they did not start dating but there relationship is already on solid ground. Also: because she started her job as an assistant with the wish to learn more about psychology she starts to call ML "Mentor" early on.
So if you worry about student / teacher storylines, don't.
U can try watching perfect and casual.... Another drama where the leads talk it out and trust each other
I can understand your point but I would like to mention on thing: their "student/teacher" relationship is about 15 minutes in the entire drama. There are reasons for that which I can spoiler if you would like. It really does not feel like a "student/teacher" relationship and if she would not call him "Teacher" in chinese, you basically would not recognize the student/teacher relationship. It could be just any couple with about 10 years age difference
Okay so there are times when I do like Youda but then he gets annoying again. The childhood friend? Yeah NO. I…
The sister ends up with Youda - but Youda first has to go through major character growth through the series. But at the same time he is pivotal to Cheng Yi changing her mindset and setting herself free from her self created obstacles
The worse thing the writers could have done was bring back the ex-wife...it really ruined what would have been…
I completely agree Up to episode 12-13 I was really estonished how this drama could have such a bad score. Up until then I was certain I would rate it between 9 and 9.5 The story was so good and compelling and than the dead ex-wife turned up on screen and basically ruined the entire story. Especially the relationship between Da Jung and the kids ... how could they ruin this amazing character development and bonding with such a mediocre "plot-twist" and such a bad ending. I basically did not like any character-development and story-unfolding after the wife appeared.
Genuine question: I've seen several people comment that they won't watch the movie because of Brie Larson, did…
Actually no. She has been criticized for "going up against the white hollywood" because she was advocating that black people should be more involved in hollywood. It is also rumored that she is an outcast on the set with the other marvel-stars (especially the core-members) but those have not been confirmed. then there are these weird people who want her to step down because as a white woman she is not diverse enough and because her captain marvel version does not smile enough. they want a black female gay captain marvel (talking about racism :-D )
So in an essence: she did nothing bad but for some reason there are actually a lot of people disliking her or rather are looking for any reason to dislike her. why I don'T know...
