perfect drama to simply not think about stuff and enjoy the pure silliness. :D and jason gu is always a plus, liked him a lot as the younger prince in Song of Glory.
I heard they were already filming Season 2 in May...!
naw, not gonna happen. Covid gets worse in winter, so most filming will probably stop again. if they pick it up in, lets say, April, they might be done in late summer. add postproduction, censorship and redoing parts and you will get 2023.
I heard they were already filming Season 2 in May...!
one photo got leaked which was immediately deleted. that's why May is known on the internet. but due to the pandemic filming is very slow if it is happening at all. 2023 is a good guess for earliest day of release.
Why did the prince starred at his female bodyguard while putting her head on the sword ,, does he like her ??…
both things are explained in the very same episode: Fengnian put the sword next to Jiang Ni so her shoulder, which he thinks is quite sore from carrying that big pack of things, won't touch the wall. Cause that would cause her more pain. And Jiang Ni wanted the seedlings to make a garden so she would have a thing she could call her own. Because she has never owned something for long. That's why no one is allowed to take/eat from her garden.
Why Xu Feng Nian's brother is called in different name?
There is this system of Chinese having 2 names (up to 4) which differ from each other (in real old China and in fictional China settings). One is the name they are born with, second one is courtesy name received when reaching adulthood. If I remember correctly, it is to distinguish between people you are intimate with (real name), like family, and people you are not (courtesy name), like colleagues and everything besides family/spouse/very close friends. Besides that you could have a nickname given by a family member, multiple titles, a western or christian name and so on.
don't think there's english translation for the novel yet since all the sites just have the entry but no uploads.
novel has 984 chapters... O.O good luck to any translation group picking up this monster. XD btw, there are translators who do commissions. ;) also, I send you a mail to read.
So far I like the series a lot (at episode 10 atm). It is kind of a mix between Joy of Life and Nirvana in Fire. It has the fun and light heart of Joy of Life but the serious and quiet atmosphere of Nirvana in Fire. 10 episodes in there is barely any fighting but a lot of intrigue going on. Basically the tempo and sound and how images are presented in the intro song tell you what kind of series you can expect.
I have a silly question, in episode 4 the maid (that princess from that fallen kingdom) must dry the books in…
It is based on real life China. They have humid tropical weather in the south. Also, "old" Chinese houses are mostly open, I think because they don't want to get cooked in the summer heat. So this means humidity gets into the house. Not sure how drying in the sun works with a high humidity but I think it is more of a "airing out" because the books are squeezed together in a room. Like the person before I also think it's to avoid mold.
why is mangotv not investing in a proper translation team? subtitles are cringy and barely readable as usual. international viewers make you a lot of money. sigh
Does anyone know what was the last word he get inside the mooncake (that is mooncake right?) during ep 16? Why…
I can't read it either but I'm guessing it got something to do with the mother cursing him in the scene before. That's why Weiwei comforts him in the way she does. But then the subtitles are really bad, so... idk... meh.
not sure if this needs to be pointed out but: the whole show consists of foreigners. i think you rather mean that…
Btw, it was pointed out in EP2 that two of the judges are old school and therefore have different opinions on judging. Which doesn't go well with the modern more flashy style. In my opinion, the show either casted them by mistake or on purpose. Second reason makes more sense, cause, the more disagreement, the more the show is bein talked about and they can reach more people with their advertisements...
not sure if this needs to be pointed out but: the whole show consists of foreigners. i think you rather mean that you don't agree with their style of judging and not their nationality not being Chinese? Ô.o..
