If Xue Rong and Jiang Shao are the "hero" and the "antagonist" (the two men involved with the two female leads), why is Jiang Shao a support role? Shouldn't it be two male leads and two female leads respectively?
Synopsis: "Tongtian Academy" tells a series of ridiculous stories about a male protagonist who does not believe in fate after meeting a group of friends. (adopted from the novel of the same name, seems to be costume wuxia or something alike)
Why does Li Ze palace have a rule to wear masks? It seems quite off because demon clan (bad guys) also wear masks.…
In the drama they explain it as the masks hindering people from outside the palace to make a connection with people from inside the palace. Like, if you don't know the face of the person you're talkin to, how can you have a relationship with them. Either a good one (love) or a bad one (maybe making plans to take over the palace or sth). Also, necessary for the plot, wait for Si Fengs new mask. ;)
Not fixed. The ones on the MGTV channel on youtube are actually better but they messed up the timing and syncing…
Don't think they'll fix it. Or else they would have to spend money and time on an actual human translation team. So, google translator it is and will be. Praying to the heavens some sub group will pick it up.
This will most likely have a tragic ending, as it blatantly copies some of the plot of Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Lemme just say "son and uncle"... though it seems to be the other way around this time.
Youko app is so friggin backwards! They don't even offer the app in English. I hope they will have to pay a big fat fee in court because they broke their contract with MangoTV regarding distribution of Love and Redemption.. grrrrr.... At least MangoTV app is in English and offers crappy google translations (see comments on The Sleepless Princess). XD
Hello, so what is she exactly? An ordinary human being or someone with powers or someone cursed. I don't know,…
I don't speak mandarin, so I'm drawing on my literary experience when explaining (plus some of the subtitles made sense):
When she was young, she entered some kind of room that had that shiny stone in it. That stone reacted to her and merged with her (the scene of the stone flying into her forehead). So from then on, she can't sleep during the night because whatever she dreams during the night will come true in real life. Therefore she only sleeps during the day (Though the drama is not sticking to it 100%, smh.). In case she slept at night, dreamt something and then tries to change the thing happening in real life, she will suffer consequenses. She changed her accidental death by assasination and therefore was changed into a mouse (the consequences might be according to chinese zodiac or something. Remember the scene in the bridal carriage with prince Shen and her maid looking at some kind of circle?)
So far I only got to ep 2. I got the patience to wait for proper subs. XD
I know what the color red means. The screenwriter want to say they are marrying, but what does the cinnabar message's…
It is a Happy Ending: no one dies and they get married. Lots and lots of sweet romance, asian style. XD The original novel is BL, read it here: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/love-is-more-than-a-word/ Also, the novel will help you fill in some blank spots / open questions from the drama.
Regarding the censoring: China always had a no go policy regarding LGBTQ on telly. In recent years they made the rules even stricter but I would have to google the explicit rules.
Satisfying ending... hm... relationship-wise YES, plot-wise... maybe yes, they left the topic of upcoming war open-ended. I recommend reading the novel. ;)

in ch1 i found 牡丹 and 芳主 but never together.
