tbh that kinda put me off watching Fluorished Peony. I guess my preference is for more grounded and believable antagonists which this show has been very good at

it really showed everything comes with a price.

yeah I’ve been following the donghua after drama and it’s also long way to go. I think the DH for this drama is wrapping up in the final 4th season soon.

seems like they have some easily identifiable stitching.

yeah, even the donghua made him extremely relationship phobia from what I read. but ep5 was pure fan service lol.

it was low stake for once rather than life and death

I have to admit I was a bit on the fence with the slapstick humor in the first couple of eps, but the mo lei tau really kicked in by third ep lol. the throwdown where they spent more time duelling in duplicity than fighting was just peak. and then the replay after with color commentary and ballroom bgm even more so 😅

all the FLs seem to end up as love interests in the source material. I wonder how much will we see in live action drama.

drama is new but story seems familiar. might have watched another version.

fr the preview made it seemed like he was talking to the son. I can just imagine the father mother and son each talking to themselves and cackling away separately each in a different room in the house 😅
