If the show has finished airing, you can use Dramawiki as a source. For Korean dramas, there’s an exception where you can use Dramawiki even for ongoing shows if there’s a picture of the character. Here's an example: https://asianwiki.com/Dog_Knows_Everything

Anyone with a picture on Dramawiki can be added to MDL, since the images are screenshots of their characters, confirming their appearance. Those without a picture (usually found at the bottom of the page) can be added once the show finishes airing.

For shows that are still airing or haven't started airing yet at all, you'll need native-language sources: Chinese for Chinese dramas, Korean for Korean ones, and so on. Baidu and Douban aren’t accepted for unaired Chinese shows, and for ongoing ones, they’re only approved if they list the character’s name. Weibo is fine, but it has to be the official account of the actor, actress, director, or production company—fan accounts aren’t accepted.

Alternatively, for shows that are airing, you can use a timestamp of the episode where the person appears, so for example: Episode 9, 13:57.
