I read a review here specifically by a fan of an actress who praised everyone's performance but badmouthed Guli…
I don't understand the hate against Gulinazha. She's really not a bad actress and does a decent job in all of her recent projects. There are actors and actresses who are worse who don't receive a fraction of the hate. If you don't like an actor or an actress, just don't watch their projects. Why spend so much time and energy spreading hate?
Korean from Korea here. Conscription age for Korean military is 18-35. If you're a citizen of Korea who live in Korea, you have to enlist by age age 28. You can postpone conscription until age 30 depending on your circumstance (like pursuing higher degree, or if you're a significant contributor to Korean society/culture like BTS), and then there are different rules for Koreans citizens who live abroad.
Commenting as a non-novel reader. I liked it and thought it was worth the wait. Is it the best of the year for me? No. But I loved the story, the balance between political conflict/romance/comedy where there was enough angst but never got too heavy and unbearable. And of course, chemistry between the leads was nice.
I’m not really a fan of ZLH’s acting, but I can see a bit of growth here, and I like that this character is different from roles he usually plays.
The only negative thing I have to say about this is the the cinematography and kiss scenes. It could have been shot prettier overall, including the kiss scenes. And this is on the director and not the actors, because they know how kiss!
