First half was so good, and thenā¦ down hill. Sad case of when bad writing and directing happens to good actors. The actors pretty much carried the drama, and the main leads made what could have been annoying characters endearing and likable. Unfortunately, their acting wasnāt enough to save the drama.
Itās not one I recommend. I recommend the first half, not the second half.

Thank goodness they got over that quickly with dialogue! I like that this couple actually talk to one another instead of throwing tantrums.

I thought this was supposed to be S+ drama. I donāt know where any of the budget went.
The production screams low budget and as much as I enjoyed the series (I was really invested in the characters and their story), this drama was a squandered opportunity.
I still recommend it to people. I was glued to the screen, on the edge of my seat and eagerly anticipating new episodes at 3am pacific time for the next episode to drop. Loved Rebaās portrayal of Ren Anle and surprisingly the actress who played the part of LinLang!

First 3 episodes are pretty tough to get through because of the way the FL is writtenā annoying, inconsiderate, disrespectful and lacking basic logic.
But the character changes, evolves and grows on you. This is such a cute rom com, definitely worth the watch!
I can see when the ML starter falling for the FLā less clear is when the FL started falling for the ML, does anyone know?
Also, this is a minor complaint, but Iām mad at the MUA for the paint job on the FL. she is so naturally gorgeous, I donāt understand the strong contour job all over the face using very bronzy color that just makes her face look like clown makeup. Why do this to this beautiful actress?

It wouldnāt be a wuxia without hot healing springs. But from the clip, it looked like a smaller wooden tub!! Has there been an update to the calendar with little spoilers like the kiss on episode 10, choosing of the bride on ep 1-3, etc.
I think this is the first time Iāve seen GZY outwardly acknowledge his suspicion of YWS, when he gave her the side eye when she knew the blade size, and then the silent eye connection between GZY and GSJ even after YWS was cleared by Lady Wuji.
