If only there wasn't a love rectangle & that cliche break up scene, I would've rated it higher-- but I like the overall theme and the cuteness of the main couple. I also like how Jaerim's family looked out for one another.
What I love about this show is the leads have chemistry and there are A LOT of cute scenes. The kisses were great…
Yeah, that part really didn't make any sense to me-- especially because I expected a lot more from the mountain spirit based off of all the foreshadowing. Instead, he was just used as a poorly executed plot-device. I feel like the reason behind the curse wasn't planned properly. I'm also tired of seeing tragic love past lives in Joseon become a trending theme in light-hearted rom coms.
I am also tired of the random murderous plot lines, especially in slice of life / comedic genres -- it's very unnecessary. I don't know why it's become more common in k-dramas nowadays, the writer throws one in whenever their afraid ratings will drop lol.
Wow you have same taste in dramas as me! I can confirm Marry My Dead Body, Reset, Twinkling Watermelon, Death's Game, and Oh No! Here Comes Trouble have helped me get out drama slumps and avoided getting in one -- haha. I'll have to check out the rest!
5th is a pacifist. They aren't stupid; they just don't want anyone to fight at all.
5th is not a pacifist at all, she may be a soft-hearted dreamer and a bit delusional at times -- but when she felt like she was wronged, she bit back hard!
I didn't realize this was actually based on a webtoon I read many years ago ('cause I hadn't researched the show before watching), Annarasumanara, until the money scene. It didn't have the same allure and intrigue as the webtoon, but I liked how the drama gave more backstory to the characters -- especially Ri Eul. I wouldn't have imagined making this story into a musical, but it gives it somewhat of a lighter vibe.
The story skips ahead in time by over ten years in episode 6 so I'm guessing they preferred to use an older actress…
I do wish they had just used makeup to age her up b/c it didn't really make sense for everyone else to look the same. Idk if there may have been scheduling conflicts with her other projects.
I think, the FL is one of a few cool FLs in kdrama history. But now I understand why FLs in kdramas are mostly…
It is similar in style and humor to Fiery Priest, this drama even has a cameo w/ Eum Moon Suk who was sort of a comic relief in that drama. Another drama that I would recommend with a similar humor style and strong female lead would be Chief Kim. You might also like Kkondae Intern, Ms. Temper & Nam Jung Gi, & Your Honor.
