On My Dearest Nemesis Feb 22, 2025
It's good but I'm waiting for it to be great. Also how is it that both main leads were so affected by the catfish situation but can't seem to remember each other's faces? She his first love but he can't remember what she looked like? I get it for the female lead but the dude is dressed the exact same way he was back then (that rocker outfit), doesn't that bring back memories (or trauma)? But I'm willing to overlook it for the sake of the plot hehe 😅😅

Title Melo Movie Spoiler
I'm glad the second couple didn't end up together. The sml was way too selfish and sfl was too much of a pushover. They didn't make sense from their first scene. Like a get the tsundere thing they were trying for sml but tsunderes need to be caring without being able to express it but sijun didn't seem to care about juah at all. On the other hand, juah seemed to care way too much about sijun to the point that she lost herself for him. Like the bar owner had said "she seemed more like a mother to you than a girlfriend" he was right. Sijun always only took and juah always only gave. Her unwavering support instead of honesty seemed way too much and stifling. She raved about every song he ever made and inflated his ego to the point that he though he was really great and talented so when he couldn't get the success equivalent to that support, he spiraled even more. I felt a little bad for him but honestly the snippets of his music that were shown were really so boring idk how he could ever think he's some great musician 😅😅 Juah also has issues, most prominently her lack of boundaries once she came back into sijun's life. But her character was explored way less than sijun and only revolved around sijun, without showing us how she became a screenwriter or her family life or anything. But she was easier to sympathize with than sijun amd was also a stronger character after that 5 year gap. It was obvious that it was hard to admit for juah why she left sijun and the little things that she's couldn't speak about back then. The current juah was more vocal about how she was treated during their relationship. Anyway, i'm glad they didn't end up together since it didn't seem like they would be good for each other anyway. Their personality faults of him being too selfish and her being a pushover were still very much present. They both need to take some time for themselves and find better partners. Sijun should find someone who's willing to call him out on his bullshit and juah needs more tender love and affection and someone who supports her.
