Same here. I dropped all the big xian xia dramas prev except love n redemption.. They r all the same. This one is so refreshing. I m just so invested in it now. I hesitate at first due to Dylan wang acting in misd the dragon but try bc I like esther yu in moonlight. N love zhang ling he in madam.holmes. But esther n Dylan chemistry is off to the roof. N Dylan is definitely the best Lord demon supreme for now in my book. I think he has all the right features esp the eyes. So intense. I hv officially added him to my favourite actor on top of the neighbouring drama love in the galaxy leo wu. What a good August 2022 in c dramas.

Nope, the story starts with the narration that only goddess xilan can stop the demon moon supreme from wrecking havoc in the 3 realms but she is missing. There is no backstort bc dfqc was the new moon tribe ruler after he killed his dad 30000 years ago. It was war waged n heaven side was presented by chidi goddess of war.

But xilan tribe has always been given the mandate to suppress all evil. They r like a healer tribe if I hear correct. That's why ronghao need her.

For some reason I feel DD look is as sharp as Dylan wang. Dylan plays the perfect devil this time bc of that dark almond eyes with the slant n all his sharp look features making him look imposing like a razor blade while esther is all round (round face, round eyes n pout) so that cute button look match Dylan sharpness. Is like two extreme like the character they played here.

Lol. Heaven side no better, demon supreme has been there for days n they didn't even smell him.

It will be a very touching love story I reckon. From one of trailers, she ask his brother if she died dfqc will be safe n sound right. He answered yes n she says that's all she need n she took the knife to herself So they will end up deeply in love w each other.

If u watch ep13 the forest conversation. Ch suggested withdrawing her spirit n bring it back w him n create a new body for her. The old body w dfqc trapped there will be destroy alomg w his spirit cause he is powerless in her body.

THE men gave her the solution. But she is not willing to take it bc they want to kill dfqc.

She attempted the body swap bc she is being imprison in the new Simin Hall dfqc built n she feel trapped. The move was plain simple mindedness on her part. N she regret it after the installation ceremony. That's why she agree to be swap back.

Why do I get a terrible feeling that the ending w be rushed. The preview for next 6 episodes still hasn't shown is massacre. Meaning onky 8 episode left for the act, the banishment n 5 yrs later. How much left for our leads to get back n be with each other again.

Yeap he will lost the ability to use the hellfire. Only ppl w no love n emotion can fully acquire that skill. That hellfire skill is the thing that makes him the most powerful man in the 3 realms.

I think in the end he will lost it n give up his supremacy in cangyan for her. But she will give up her life so he will live bc wo it, he will suffer as he has too many enemies. Thus fulfilling the prophesy that only the goddess xilan can stopped Lord moon devil from wreaking havoc. That's how I see from all the trailers.

I think the irony n the angst will come because he love her. N will lost his power. His power is basically from his ability to control that hellfire which is the skill he acquired after his love n emotion being rooted out by his father. No love = power. Love = no power. Power = ambition to rule 3 realms, protection for themselves. In the end, it will be their painful choices.

I think mortal arc my gueses is only CH is reincarnated, not our leads. They r there to search for the goddess of war is my guess.

Our Lord is super jealous n he doesn't even realise. N whether he likes it or know it, our little xlh is the boss. One word from her, he stopped his hellfire.

Nice 2 episodes today with many reflections. To me the body swap is necessary bc in the end it is decision time for xlh. At dfqc weakest n most powerless moment(, which can only happen during swap, she can choose to go home, go with her crush, n be free from him. Solution was presented for her. solution that solves all her problems n cost her nothing. All other times, he can force her to stay because he is powerful n completely dominating. So this is out of equation. N her amswer is she choose to save him. Whether it is destiny or from the heart, she is staying w him.

And that second kiss from him is wow!!! Whether he realise it or n I Don think he realise it, he is super jealous n he is telling CH she is MINE. N him wanting her to be happy n seeing her happy makes him happy. I don think xlh need to do any tree healing. Just with her being there, he is on the way to recovery.

It is over by 1/3 of ep 13. So pretty fast. Now everything is back to normal.

Taming the demon. Lol.

There are many types of characters on this world n in drama land.. We hv some ladies capable strong conquering the world, corporate world. We hv some that are laid back, gentle, soft n they may appear weak but I m sure none of th are weak. Weak does not equate idiotic or brainless.

Bear in mind the story here is we hv a demon supreme who is to create havoc in heaven n earth n everything in between. He has no emotions bc it has been withdraw from him.. We also have the chidi lady here as goddess of war who is smart, strong capable n even her death cannot wipe him out. She is the original goddess of war. So drama do put a strong lady here. So xlh character with her extreme 'weakness' n maybe in some sense naive is what it needs to thaw him n stop this disaster. Her strength lies precisely in her weakness.. We also see her as kind, determine in a meek way, she tricks him n uses her softness on him. She is just not confident in herself bc she does not know her origin n truly does not hv enough intelligence for now bc her root was watered with her master wine. Why can't we just enjoy the fact that there is bound to be someine weaker n someone more domineering in every
relationship. Just bc the guy here is supreme intelligent n powerful does not make her less important,

I really Don see it as selling weakness. Like other says there plenty of dramas with superior women. I don mind a soft type once in a while. In fact it is nice to see gentleness n meekness that can conquer. I will onky be annoyed if some illogical, unreasonable character create problems n harm.

Also for her to finally decide to stay w him. Otherwise she is screaming home everyday lol.

This second time swap is still entertaining but bc the swap circumstance is not good. If they r alone it is fine. But prob is they r on dangerous ground. One cannot use the power, one doesn't know how to use. They r too raw. Unlike first swap, they r alone. So I think it becomes too stressful in the second swap.so it makes it hard to watch not knowing what comes next if someone notice.

To me nothing wrong with the storyline n acting.

I watch the 1st eposide again. I understood the story better from the narration. Lord moon demon is locked up with his breakdown soul but he is not dead or gonr. He is cruel n emotionless n will create havoc if his soul gathers back n he leaves Haotian prison. No one can stop him except a girl who is goddess xilan from a neutral tribe of xilan. That is story narrated.

Now I see that little orchid (xiao lan hua) as xilan goddess is meant to be the only person that can stop him. N we all assume through some higher power n maybe another war. As story progresses, to me she is fated with Lord moon demon bc she is meant to love him n give him back his emotion n through love, the goddess will resolve the heaven n earth disaster.. So xlh ultimately born for Lord moon demon, not our Lord Changheng whom she has an engagement with. So xlh path will always go towards Lord Moon demon.
