I think they are. If they wanted to balance it out at this point, I feel like they were fully capable of doing that, without violating any censorship rules. What LSS has done, so far, goes against most sane people ethics. While killing/torturing one (innocent) person to save millions is justifiable, it is never ethical.

While this story uses the novel as source material, it's obvious they veered away from the exact story line. We still have the immortal arc. From there LSS will probably get the respect she deserves. Just my prediction.

I really think the way people are feeling about LSS right now ( Disliking her) is exactly what the writers and directors are intending. This drama is actually pretty deep in exploring mental disorders. TTJ is physiologically harmed due to the way he was born and his upbringing, no fault of his own. He is really quite pitiable. There are quite a few disorders that involve lack of emotions and an inability to express emotions in a healthy way,

LSS is still reeling from the trauma of seeing her family and sect perishing (because of devil god), and inflicting even more moral trauma upon herself by having to go back in time to kill someone who is innocent, thus far. Surely that goes against her moral code. Moral injuries can cause ptsd, depression, guilt, shame and suicidal thoughts. A lot of people involved in wars end up suffering with moral injuries.

This drama, at this point, is definitely messing with my emotions. It's pretty heartbreaking. I just hope the ending is healing and a happy ending.

In my opinion, it seems on episode 26-27 everyone got stupid. What I'm talking about is the rock trapping little venoms leg. I found it silly they couldn't move the rock with inner power. Even more ridiculous was the solution to removing the rock. His leg was trapped between the large rock and SAND. How easy it would have been to just dig out his leg. lol

Hmm...not a big fan of this drama. The story is too convoluted. All of the relationships are toxic. The misunderstandings are too much and seem unnecessary. I don't feel any bromance at all. The lies and deceit between the 2 MLs is over the top. Like, Li Wu, keeping the fact that he wasn't the one who ultimately killed his father a secret and losing his arm over it. I feel like Li Wu wasn't saving Zhang Jun Qing pain that way, the commander was going to die any way. I'm only at episode 22, so maybe it will make sense soon. *shrug*

It's just Netflix trying to keep their contract in Korea. Netflix has to respect their culture, or risk being boycotted.

Zhang Ling makes a guest appearance, in character, as Lord Changheng.

"Back from the Brink" is an idiom. It means "To return to a state of stability or well-being after being on the verge of utter ruin, failure, or destruction" I think the English title is fitting.
