when i watched LBFAD last year, i always thought Esther Yu will never be capable of acting like a real badass…
I dunno, when I watched LBFD, I saw her range of acting skills. She was awesome with the body switch w/ DFQC and playing as the Goddess of Xishan. I found her role as Orchid endearing , she plays a naïve baby fairy very well.
The first four trailers are up on Youku both the international app and the website
I wonder if They are going to wait until My Journey to You is done airing, because it is so popular. So they can avoid that competition. MJTY was just an A ranked drama, very little promo. They might not have expected it to do so well.
Dude, I don't dislike any of these characters. But it makes me defend GSJ so much that I look like some fan girl.…
Hehe, they need a poster explaining the ranks and statuses. So, GSJ was the only other Young Lord. and he was absent. So GZY got the SW title because he was the next closely related heir to the Sword wielder (son) and the successor (brother), according to the rules.

31:30 episode 5 it was stated "There is no precedent of a Sword Wielder participating in the Trial of the Three Realms." GSJ had to do it to become a Lord, and I'm just guessing the trials have to be passed to become a red guard, and maybe a yellow guard.

GSJ arguments don't make sense to me, because he is the very first person to change the rules in regards to SW selection. At the time GSJ insisted on changing the rules, GSJ was the nobody and GZY was already declared sword wielder.
So, in reality, the elders went out of their way, and bent the rules to accommodate GSJ and even let GSJ's disrespect for GZY slide. The elders probably did it to try to quell GSJ's rebellious intentions. So, GSJ is the first to have the rules bent to accommodate him.
Passing the back hill trials was never a requirement for being SW, GSJ is the one who wanted to add that criteria. (stated at 31:30 in episode 5)
(You can see it in the 46:00 mark of Episode 4) The rules of inheritance state (according to what the first SW created): 1. The successor must be of age. 2. Must be a man. 3. Must be a descendant of Gong family. 4. Present in the Gong residence
It looks like the SW has the ability to set Gong Family rules, so is it with-in GZY's right to change and create them, since he is SW?
Is it just me or does anyone else think the pacing is incredibly slow lately?Spoilers below
Nope, not me. I think the pacing is great. Honestly I think it's too soon for the anonymous reveal, but maybe she isn't Anon. I'm enjoying the character and world building at the rate it is going.
All the dialog is suspenseful, and meaningful; keeps you interested to pick up on clues. I think there is just the right amount of action and intrigue thus far.
I'm wondering if you've heard of The Fox and the grapes story by Aesop. People disparage those things they can't…
I know I'm jealous of Esther. She is so cute & pretty, and gets to kiss all the hot guys. *Goes to corner and pouts* 🥺
I think the more fitting word is envious. Jealousy and Envy are pretty similar, but they are different. I've used Jealousy before to describe some of these mean girls online, but I should have used Envious. It seems these actresses with babydoll eyes and pouty lips are pretty prime targets.
I wonder if this director is a fan of Tim Burton. Edward Guo's works have a certain Burtonesque appeal to me. The dark and whimsical undertone...is like whimsigoth style.
Why have they made poor beautiful ZLH look like a kabuki actor? Really, there've been too many cringe-worthy makeup…
LOL...don't say Kabuki actor....use Xiqu actor. :D Are you trying to stir up the "Omg there are Japanese elements in this show" drama? I'm just joking with this comment, plz don't take it serious. There is/was a big controversy over this drama in the mainland because they felt it was too Japanese.
I don't have an issue with his make up, it does seem to be the writer/directors style. I think ZLH looks great in his costumes & Make-up.
Question for episode 1 , first screen, why the real Yun Weishan has the same voice as the FL?
Maybe twins? Separated at birth? Maybe that is why she will pass the background investigation. Might be why she became an assassin (Family threatened). I'm just guessing though.
He was angry because he was investigating her over the medications. She is just a white token, and his brother…
And you can tell in the next dialogs, when all 4 of them are in front of the elders, talking about spies and why they chose their brides; There were alot of suspicious glances back and forth.
Can someone explain me why ML looked angry and surprised when GSJ want SGQ as his wife?
He was angry because he was investigating her over the medications. She is just a white token, and his brother wants to marry her. So, he suspects her even more now and working with his brother. He suspects his brother of killing the father and other brother. If his brother didn't choose her, he could have sent her out of their compound, for bringing in illegal meds.. Now she is pretty much off the hook.
This was all a plan by the 2 spies though, to get closer to their targets. The 2 spies have to show that they are enemies, to gain the trust of their targets. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. :) YWS turned in SQ over the ointment. Both GZY and GSJ thinks SQ hates YWS for ratting her out. So, GZY wants to get rid of her and GSJ wants to keep her.
Explain Me why They Play Interpreter in Simyong , I Think Story Goes Somewhere , i cant understand
It hasn't fully been explained in the story. The way things are going, it looks like he might pick up the spy role again. Interpreter position seems to be a way to get the inside scoop with khan. I think he purposely got himself caught with the smuggling scheme. That is just my guess.
