I do think a lot of it stems from jealousy, and then bandwagoning/mob mentality. There is really no reason to get so worked up over a show and bombard someone with insults over it. Criticism is less damaging if it's constructive and it is just bullying if the intent is just to make someone feel bad and only points out their weaknesses.

She lucked into her breakthrough, with no formal education in the Entertainment industry and very humble background. She has co-starred with some pretty popular male leads. She is a rags to riches story and probably the envy of alot of girls her age and younger.

I'm glad the network for this show is iQIYI; It's easier for an international audience to view. I hope Netflix picks it up, like they did with LBFD.

I wish it was easier for international fans to be able to interact with their favorite actors in China. I would really like to send some encouraging words to YCY, and the rest of the cast and crew.

I think they need a talk show like Jimmy Kimmel, and have a segment where Celebrities read their own mean Tweets/Post.

I understand that in alot of Asian cultures, having face is a big deal...but the exception should be the Entertainment industry. Most, if not all, Celebrities worldwide face criticisms and internet trolls.

I think a mean tweet/post segment in a variety or talk show would be therapeutic.

You would have to sideload it. Sideloading is the practice of installing software on a device without using the approved app store or software distribution channel. Just google instructions on how to sideload the apps on your xbox..google/chrome TV. I have a program on my phone that will let me instal any app from my phone to my fire stick. It's handy :)

I think this is the first time, watching a C Drama, that I can't wait for the leads to die tragically. Bring on the aftermath. If I were the female lead, I wouldn't be trying so hard to save him, since she kept her memories. I would be plotting all kinds of Romeo and Juliet death scenarios.. lol

There seems to be a history between the SML and FL that was forgotten, 30,000 yrs ago. SFL won the auction for ML with some spirit stones and the Nuwa stone., she is trying to get her moneys worth. lol...since the Nuwa stone was "Lost"...but her nuwa stone is infatuated with her, unbeknownst to her.

I don't have any recomendations for modern dramas. They are not my favorite genre so I don't seek them out.

I beleive 17 said, that when he was tortured, his power was sealed. Maybe he hasn't fully recovered his power.

I'm just on episode 16. The bad special effects and CGI don't bother me. The character dynamics are pretty bad though.

There isn't any healthy rivalry or camaraderie. Both the main leads act like snobs, and snub their classmates. The masters really do seem to be putting their eggs all in one basket, I can see why Situ Hong and his brother are acting the way they do. The masters should be encouraging them all to work together, not forming clicks and playing favorites.

The main leads acting is pretty bland, maybe it's suppose to be that way. Their personalities are exactly the same, uptight overachievers, who look down their nose at other people.

The character development is lacking. I'm not invested in any of the characters. I didn't care Xue Ying fell off the cliff and could have been dead. I was hoping that event would spur more emotion in the characters and provoke some camaraderie...but it was meh.

According to the synopses they do eventually band together, I'm hoping it happens soon.
