I'm thinking the same thing. This is just a guess but....I think Xuan Xiao is his real father, he and Su Yu loved each other very much. However, because of the way he was treated by the sect and other reasons, he was demonized. That caused his paranoia to grow and probably imagined an affair between Su Yu and Yun Tianqing. Xuan Xiao probably killed the disciples, because he felt betrayed by everyone. Yun Tianqing probably fled with the baby and the already pregnant Su Yu, he rescued. That is just my theory, don't take it seriously.

I like seeing both Shuxin & Xu Kai together...plus the genre is my favorite.

I'm watching both. IMO both dramas are good. They are completely different. You do not have to watch any of the Chinese Paladin (Sword and Fairy) dramas in any particular order.

I'm watching both. I think they are both pretty good. They are different stories, but they have about the same production value and same level of acting.

These fan wars are so weird to me. It really seems that team "Sword and Fairy 4" is running over to "Sword and Fairy 6" MDL page and downvoting and SAF6 is downvoting on SAF4's page. It just doesn't do either any good or justice. lol

Take a guess where Apple phones up till now are manufactured. They are manufactured in China.

However, due to the strict covid lockdowns in China, Apple is moving manufacturing to India. The lockdowns caused a disruption in Apple production and Apple isn't too happy about it.

Hmm, why is this American based company not just moving manufacturing to the United States? Apple is a pretty despicable company. The number one reason is for cheap labor.
So China will have to fill a void when Apple leaves. To make up for lost jobs and income. So, they develop a phone to compete with Apple. TBH the Huawei phone isn't Apple stolen technology. It is an Android based phone. They are calling their operating system, HarmonyOS, but it is built from Android technology.

I'll admit, China is the knockoff capital of the world. China is also the factory of the world, that also produces a lot of the named brand quality products on the market today.

I'm not going to get into the CCP, there is lots to dislike about the CCP. However, that is the Government the population of China is stuck with, and most of the population in China just want to live their lives in peace, with as few hardships as possible. Just like most people in the world.

I'm upset she died that way, but I don't think it was Ziyu's fault. She was miserable and suffering. Seemed there was no hope for her recovery and on her deathbed. He put her out of her misery, which can be a form of mercy. When you watch further..you might understand it better.

What type of recommendations are you looking for? Romance heavy or can romance be excluded?

There are quite a few "Smart" dramas to recommend, but romance is usually a non-factor. Such as Joy of life, Nirvana in Fire, Under the Microscope, League of Noblemen, Pledge of Allegiance, The Ingenious One, and Mysterious Lotus Casebook.

Unfortunately it's only recently that Asian Dramas have focused on quality CGI in dramas, like Korea's Alchemy of souls and newer higher budget Cdramas. So it will be hard to recommend a good Xianxia or Xuanhuan to you.

You could try "The Legends" with Xu Kai and Bai Lu. It's Xuanhuan/Wuxia, the color pallet is good and it's CGI is alright.

Did you try "Lost you Forever"? it is a Xuanhuan/Wuxia. I thought that one was excellent. Great story telling; Satisfactory CGI, pleasant color pallet and cinematography. The Male leads are also pretty attractive *wink wink*.

Looks like you are just getting into Cdramas.

You could try favorites like "Eternal love". (This one made me boohoo boatloads) "Eternal love of Dream" is also good. It's a spin off from "Eternal Love".

If you are missing the leads at all, you could give "love between fairy and devil" a try. I don't see it on your list.

Faithful is a new Drama airing. I'm gonna check that one out. It's a Mystery/thriller, Ancient costume drama.

There is nothing explicit or indecent about her scenes. No skinship at all.
