I don’t like the fact that ZH would stop his revenge for a girl, a girl that I was expecting to have tricks and secrets on why she was harassing ZH, only to be told now because it really was just “liking him”? But on another note, I love Antu’s mom’s story with ZH’s dad, that was unexpected and it was impactful when she said “she could only be queen, nothing else”, felt the hopelessness and duty to her country.

Yesss! Remember in that scene with the marquis he did say Eunuch Cao would only know who he is on his death row, I would’ve loved to see the look on his face.

I don’t feel like he’s lost himself because he was 10 when it happened, he wasn’t even fully developed into himself yet. I feel like the revenge is already a part of his identity. I cannot even imagine being in that position, if it’s not revenge you’re living for, what are you living for 😢. I wouldn’t be able to see myself being happy with life and not taking revenge.

Ok I may have missed this part 😅but even so, it still wouldn’t make sense to me. The way that night played out, the daughter remaining in the hiding place and the son running out, the disciple claiming to be the son, none of this they could have controlled. I mean, my mind would be blown if it really was him, they’d have to be really convincing with that story then. What the marquis did was just too evil, that it’s impossible for me to believe it was “for the greater good”. Although it is dodgy why he has the clothing and skin of his parents in the basement.

This seems so unlikely to me, I mean he’s then an enemy to himself? And when he came back from killing the family, his son saw him so the timeline just wouldn’t make sense?
