I just read half the novel, wow so far I'm really hooked! Can't wait for English subs! Definitely has the potential to be one of the best dramas this year. Wow the female lead can't seem to catch a break.

Chinese dramas in my opinion will never compare to Western Hollywood CGI, those guys hire the best of the best and are paid the big bucks. Also Western blockbusters have very large budgets. I have yet to see a Chinese drama that can compare to something like The Avatar movie for example. TBW does have decent cinematography compared to a lot of Xianxia. You can see the backgrounds have a lot more detail in them, especially in the Flower Garden in the Valley. Many other Xianxia put focus on the "magic" trick while the backgrounds are faded out or very underrated.

Isn't she tied to the valley as well? She needs the antidote?

Does she eventually overcome the pain she suffers? Since there are not subs, I thought the valley master was poisoning her. But now I get it.

Hi, I have a question regarding Yun He the demon master, someone mentioned that she has yet to transform to a Nine Tail Fox. My question is, does she already know that she is a Nine Tail Fox? I noticed in one of the trailers that her master (the guy in the wheel chair) when he was fighting the phoenix, he shielded himself with his tails, so he's a Nine tale fox as well. Does that mean these spirit masters are all a clan of Nine tail foxes? Thanks!

So Youku (my understanding) is just a video hosting company, my guess is Huace Group is probably the mega conglomerate that produced the drama? Croton Media is under Huace Group. I need to research more so don't quote me on this yet.
