Let me clarify, I meant that Qing Yao, the fox demon that has a one way love for ChangYi is actually the young Lord of the fox clan according to some post on Weibo. I started to see trailers with her in it, it appears in the trailer that she is attempting to "charm" ChangYi, but I don't have any subs so it's just guessing.

So Word of Honor was 2021's biggest success story if you ask me, but it's viewership wasn't crazy high, I think Marcus Sim did a YouTube vlog where we ranked them by view in 2021 and WOH was in the top 10 - which he even thought it was surprising. I don' t know how long it took for Youku to share how many views WOH had. I just know that it had a tiny 50 million yuan budget.

Oh you're right - my bad. I think I mixed up one of the posters that flashed by and thought it was SSS (ok I missed ALP - which I dropped, should I give it another chance?). I did enjoy SSS but it did have it's issues, like there's always a super martial artist that comes out of hiding to the rescue when things get tough! And I hate it when dramas that don't plan to have part 2 in the near future.

Actually AvenueX's review said she doesn't like Chinese fantasy dramas because they are always beating the same beat. She said that the acting was as she expected and wished they didn't dub Dilreba as she has excellent line delivery. She didn't like the sets either. She said that it was better than Sword Snow Stride, Mirror Twin Cities, Novoland Pearl Eclipse...which I've also watched...also think it's better than Legend of Fei and Douluo Continent. Personally I really liked SSS and NPE.

Reba has another with Youku this year. It's good to have good competition in the production companies actually. So hopefully the other big actors will venture away from Tencent. I noticed that Reba's ML for YAMG primarily only sticks with Tencent? Oh and they probably promoted that a lot because they like YY.
