I enjoy her reviews regardless of whether I agree with her or not. I do agree that neither measures up to ADWAD for me. I started both but dropped MR b/c it left me snoozing, but the Fl char is pretty cool. WDBTD ‘s plot is meh but I love the female lead, so I’m continuing it. There’s lots of smooching and it definitely caters to female romance audiences. Lots of ‘hero saves damsel in distress’ situation but at least her character is a weak powerless female and she’s not portrayed as a strong general or something so it’s consistent.

I may return to MR in the future.

a Dream Within a Dream. Hahaha

Yes!!!! I finished it while it was airing. Sadly, subsequent releases have not measured up. Miss it so much.

I think this drama intentionally did this to point out how a lot of dramas are poorly written and makes no sense.

Storytellers make us really sympathize for ML and his suffering. But I just LOVE her growth arc - from fiercely detesting him to complete devoted and fiercely protecting him. From someone who only cared about herself to someone who gave herself entirely to someone else.

Ooh … I didn’t pick up on the focus of the three way stab. Gonna have to research. I’ve already rewatched the first two
EPS at least 3 X and caught new details each time.

Just watch it if you like unique, engaging, hilarious, dramatic, funny, thrilling, loving (not skinship by devoted love). I still love it and struggle moving on

I started watching When Destiny …Demon and it reminded me so much of this beloved ADWAD. I so miss this drama. All the dramas released since have not brought the same level of enjoyment as this drama.

It’s choppy. Doesn’t really draw us into the characters. All over the place. Wants to be like Harry Potter, then like a video game. Wants to be high quality but looks cheap at times. Characters are surface level / 2-dimensional. Just strange.

He’s been through a lot too. They’re all trying to adjust. Personally, by ep 22, his willingness to accommodate his son’s transition is very noble and sweet.

I wish I had a bottle of his healing pills. He literally almost died while escaping the wedding city only to fight at the mine as if fully recovered.

I’m thinking maybe they’re trying to do a certain style? Also wasn’t this filmed a few years ago? But I agree with you that the cgi looks not up to par at times. other times, not bad. It’s kinda not consistent. They also filmed a lot of scenes on location instead of with a green screen which probably costs $$$.

What kid would drop their I ce cream though? Just glad it was a false alarm and now he’s got a kid. That was sweet.

Everyone (including the baddies) are doing such a fine job. Very gripping.
