Finally finished it after putting it on hold for a month and not having anything else to watch. I had stopped at ep 20 because it was getting a bit boring. Finishing it off felt a bit like a chore however, WAY’s amazing looks and and good acting helped me along.
Probably could’ve chopped off 4-5 episodes. I have mixed feelings about this drama. Probably could be really enjoyable with better directing, storytelling and FL.
I binged through this drama while waiting for new releases of Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance which is also directed by the same director. Very well paced, directed, and acted drama, better than some of the long ones currently airing! suspense, action, romance, joy, and sadness all covered.
6 eps in and still engaging. The director and production crew are very good. They know how to use their resources well. Doesn’t look cheap! now I want to know more about her brother!

Lol…. Oh the dilemma. I cannot advise you what to do. Worst thing is that you’ll end up dropping it. It has its merits. I enjoyed WAY’s performance and some of the chemistry between the main leads but it’s not on the level of “The Best Thing” for me. the storytelling is kinda lacking imo.
I’ve watched through ep 20 and decided to check out his other drama (Such a Good Love) a few months ago. I may come back and finish it.
If you are a fan of WAY - he’s very handsome here and his acting is soooo good.

Mom adopted him when he was a young kid supposedly to help the biological son health.
however, mom reveals the truth later to the ML. He’s her biological so from a previous marriage. For various reasons they divorced and the ex had custody but ex’s mother ended up putting ML in an orphanage. ML’s mom adopted him into her new family but agreed to her new husband’s demand to send him abroad for college. She actually loves ML a lot and they reconcile later.
His little brother is actually his half brother. After an incident overseas, all this comes out and ML warms up to his mom and bro
Just finished ep 3. This drama is so much better than the other drama with WAY!the Story is so alive and vibrant! I cant help but root for our dreamers. This is a good Rama to savor and not rush through.
All in all, good season 1. I wish they had more fighting scenes and less Princess Ning. On to season 2!
For some reason, I’m having a hard time picking up from ep 3. Reading the comments about Ning and hearing it will not be a h[pay ending for the 3 makes it hard to continue.
It’s getting progressively worse, I wouldn’t be suprised if she’s AI robot pretending to be human
That’s funny. Watched the hello Saturday ep 0n 5/24 with them trying to promote the show. She’s like a kid. Actually, they’re both like kids. He’s like a playful puppy. She, an innocent kid. I think her acting has much to develop.
