She was under investigation for tax evasion. It wasn’t her but more her family who managed her business but she’s held responsible. I believe it wasn’t a huge deal (don’t quote me on that) and she tried to prove her innocence. lucky for us, the stars aligned, and the powers allowed these two dramas that were shelved to be aired. We will see whether she gets new dramas to act in.

I’m really glad this drama was dusted off the shelf and saw the light of day. Kinda sad seeing how SZE was doing pretty well before she got blacklisted in 2022. She’s one of the better actresses.

Don’t remember the ep, but the scene where Wei Shao asks and listens to Gong Sun Yang explain the meaning of the words companion love (?) by looking at the radicals/components that each word is made of was very well done. Beautiful.

There’s already kissing between 2 lead couple.

I mean the second time she went back to look for him. She now knows about his note. If I had that clue and after spending a millenium searching, I’d rush but that would be me.

I’m in it for my man LXY. It’s decent. Plot for the most part makes sense. Some cliche, 2 dimensional characters. Some slow parts but it’s ok. It’s more focused on developing the main couple’s deep connection with each other. Starts out light hearted and 3/4 in, it’s more emotionally heavy. If you’re into more drama and less action, then give it a try. If you’re into elaborate action choreogrphy and fast pace action, then you may be bored.

I’m wondering whether it partly because any little action will be scrutinized, analyzed, interpreted or misinterpreted by the public so they’re anxious.

That was quite a weak reason for her to break her relationship with him. The two of them went through so much in their first lifetime. She has first hand experience with him - his actions, motivations, character. If she truly loved and trusted him, she would try to understand what happened vs vowing revenge, blah blah blah… lame writing there. Sigh….

I was feeling the same way about the lack of urgency. She only has one evening and she’s strolling about reminiscing? Why oh. Why director are you doing this?

Binged through this drama. Thank goodness I saw a YouTuber rate it well otherwise I would have missed it! Quality, well directed and acted, although good a bit overly dramatic, series.

Only 3 eps on iQIYI youtube. Rest probably need to pay?

What are you looking for? There’s so many different types of c-dramas to choose from. Modern or costume ? Wuxia or xianxia? Comedy or drama? Lighthearted or deep? Romance? Crime? Slice of life?

Here are three recent ones that are very different:

Filter - modern, comedy, romcom, social issues, drama. If it’s your vibe you’ll bust out laughing.

The best thing - feelings of falling in love, very calm and happy feeling.

The blossom - costume drama, romance, family scheming, focus is the live. All else supports this.

Fake it till you make it - modern, mature romance , more business, lots of flirting and interactions

Oh no! Here comes trouble - modern. Technically Taiwan but very good. Comedy, solving mysteries of those who passed away.

I started out by watching the top rated ones on Mdl (above 8). Most are pretty good.
Some old ones that I still enjoy:

Love between fairy and devil - costume. Xinxia. Good cgi for the time.
Word of honor - costume, wuxia, bl, romance, angst, drama. Low production.
The heart - modern, cardiology, brotherhood, a tinge of romance
The hope - modern, social issues, drama
Joy of life - costume, comedy, word play, action

Very sweet unrestraint and lively

Ep 7 - why do I get the feeling this drama is going to have a lot of tragedies? I don’t know any of the backgrounds/stories of these characters. So far so good. It’s much better done than the Red one.

Holy cow!!! That was so crazy, so violent, so loaded with violent stunts. Loved Nicholas Tse and Donnie Yen. I couldn’t watch all of the fighting scenes because they were so graphic. For those who want to watch as stunt filled cop film, this is full of adrenaline.

Just watched “But Always”. He is a Fine actor and went down the rabbit hole of his back ground.

Man - this hit me hard. A very emotional drama with beautiful actors.

I was re-watching episode one on YouTube. It’s just as good this time around if not better than the first time around years ago.
