One drama I didn’t watch was What If b/c the mother character was so overbearing

I finished a few days ago and I can say, I don’t remember! Haha…that’s how unmemorable he is. But let’s just say he’s met his end. Someone did sacrifice their life in battling him. That was sad.

I was thinking about the ending… it could have been executed to something positive and sweet yet, it feels melancholy to me… the whole drama felt like it went from cheerful loving to sad, painful and angsty to melancholy.

I’m bracing myself for the possibility that he won’t have the safe happy future with his beloved.

I’ve watched him in JOF 1 & 2. He’s such a good actor - plays morally grey and villainous characters well.

NIF is very good but a political strategy with romance and brotherly love and love of country . Very poetic with lots of subtle non direct communication. I remember bawling. Couldn’t recover for weeks. A Journey To love did the same to me but that drama was not as good as NIF. Because of the 40 ep restriction and some censorship, the story unraveled towards the end but it was still good.

If you can shut off your logical brain, you can enjoy getting swept away by the emotional romantic scenes. Not very logical or deep IMO. It’s like enjoying a delicious dessert with whipped cream. Airy and sweet but not much substance afterwards when you think about it. I enjoyed it at the beginning but it started to make not much sense (kinda like the Glory) so ended up dropping it. Sigh…

From previous posts, this takes places in a fictional time period similar to the warring states period. There was no unified country so imperial city did not exist. These states are battling for dominance.

Yeah, I just wish this comparison would stop, especially since ZLS became famous after her and they’re so different.
