Yea - the comedy is the highlight imo. So unexpected and hilarious.

She’s pretty on point with her comments of this drama. I’ve been enjoying it even though aesthetically I pleasing to the eyes

I actually found it hilariously funny. Usually, when someone sacrifices their life to save you, you fall for them. Instead, he’s gets more suspicious of her true intentions with each death. And she keeps popping up on the celestial realm. “you again?”

I almost wonder whether the ugly aesthetics is purposeful to make fun of the whole xian xia genre. I mean, it’s pretty bad. They are both so gorgeous but with his wig and her costumes - you wouldn’t know it. Also, what is up with Wang Hong Yi’s (Tang Hua) red puffy eyes?

He seems kinda cynical and can’t wrap his mind around the idea that someone would actually be nice to him and not have any ulterior motives. If you think about it, it is a bit sus how this stranger lady is putting her life out there for him merely out of the goodness of her heart. And the fact that she doesn’t die is probably what makes him more suspicious since only his demon enemies possess this ability to his knowledge. And on top of that, there’s no longer and deities there since whatever happened 60 years ago the destroyed the ‘bridge’ for that to occur.

Ep 13 - that ending scene was very sweet and on fire! Loved it . One of the better scenes in cdramaland. Felt so natural. Love the convos between them. Loved the song. It was perfect.

40 years capitivity and 60 years suffering by the “good” guys as well as assassination attempts can make anyone suspicious.

I notice this drama so far is good about not following tropes like the noble idiocy. I think this whole premise of her protecting him at all cost is kinda like the reverse hero gender role. Kinda funny hows she’s so clueless with him. Also, some of their convo responses have been very unexpected and funny as well.

Seriously . It could’ve looked Soo good like Dylan Wang in LBFAD but instead it’s all weird and unattractive.
