The women look like they're in their late 30s, maybe some even in their early 40s. The guys look like they're 23 to 26-27. The guy at the end of episode 2 (Sang Hyeon?) looks like he has a lot of issues. Lol. That's what makes him unattractive, in my personal opinion, despite him having a conventionally attractive face.
I really liked the first six episodes of this show, but then episodes 7 and 8 happened. Is it just me, or does it feel like these two episodes were written by a different person? They felt boring and slow. Oh well.
what is this supposed to mean ??? explain ur point pls
"So, what you're saying is 100% nonsense!"
Yeah sure, the above definitely sounds like someone who is mature and fit for a rational discussion. Grow up, young brat. I can absolutely judge a script for how bad it is, and judge the screenwriter, who's actually an actor and has no screenwriting experience, for how bad of a job he's done. Even if he's not the sole screenwriter, it's obvious that he had a lot of influence on where the story should go, since the script so blatantly highlights his character as a heroic figure and paints everyone else as mere sidekicks, not even deserving of proper backstories or character development. I can also judge you for being a irrational young brat who talks like a kindergartener. Now that I have the facts and proof behind me, you have nothing to say, and start attacking me personally. This is exactly what a little kid does.
I actually have a habit of dropping dramas after 2 episodes if I don't like them but I'm still staying here for…
@SaltyDonut That's not what you said a week ago SaltyDonut. This was what you wrote in response to my comment: "I think she means Don Lee wrote it so it's bound to be bad which is a crazy thing to say since it's too early to judge. This is his first project as a screen writer so I don't think we should judge it based on the first 2 episodes" Crazy thing to say? Too early to judge based on two episodes? And now YOU are saying you would have dropped it after 2 episodes? Talk about contradicting yourself.

@david33 Hi David33, I wonder what you feel about your comment a week later. Hundreds of comments above and below this thread prove my point. I think it's clear whose words are truly "100% nonsense," indeed. Hahaha.
I think the people who rated this movie lowly don't quite understand, but this is no longer science fiction. This is reality. There are already companies forming an AI character based on people you know. They can be people who are dead, or even those based on Kpop idols who are very much still alive (I guess Suzy and Park Bo Gum's story touches on this). Seeing how so many people seem to be confused by the story, I guess they don't know this yet? Character AI has been around for a few years though. In my opinion, this movie raises a lot of real questions that we need to start discussing already. This is already happening, people.
Last week I made a comment saying 1) People should stop bashing YW, since we're seeing only bits and pieces of his conversations, without much context, all edited to fit a certain narrative. 2) I don't think the foundation of JH and JW's relationship is as strong as many people seem to think, based on my own observation of real-life couples around me.
And then a whole bunch of trolls came yelling underneath my comment, saying stuff like "Stop projecting!" (do you even know what that word means?), that I'm "definitely a red flag!" (have you met me internet stranger?), that I'm "just pretending to be rational, but you're actually emotional, so whatever you're saying is probably BS", blah blah blah.
This week, while watching episode 14, I just kept thinking of one word: VINDICATED. I feel so freaking VINDICATED, you trolls. A bunch of delusional shippers who think they actually know the people in this show from watching a few edited hours of their lives.
And then I felt stupid for replying to their comments--for attempting to reason with 10-year-old trolls and haters on the internet.
So many people in these comments need to take a chill pill seriously. Every single dating show discussion just…

This is not about right or wrong. It's about societal hierarchy, it's about courage. The mother lacked courage,…
You summed it up really well. It's about social hierarchy, and courage, indeed. And yes, I guess I sometimes forget that some parts of Western society are still relatively conservative and traditional. Glad you could relate to my comment!
I guess I felt so triggered when watching this, because it reminds me so much of my own aunts and uncles, and just boomers in general that I personally know. That generation seems to be a generation that lacks courage. The courage to think for themselves, to question whether all the BS they've been taught by their own parents was even true, and to make a different choice.
For the restaurant scene, there's actually a particular part of Asian culture that it really exemplifies: "saving face." The mother would rather not cause a scene in the restaurant because that would make her "lose face;" it'd affect how she is seen by others, even though the "others" in this case are complete strangers to her, and she'll probably never see them again once she steps out of the restaurant, It's pretty absurd when you think about it, but the concept of "face" means looking good to outsiders is far more important than considering the feelings of insiders--your own family and friends. In fact, I'd reckon she would even reprimand the son for causing a scene and making her lose face in front of those strangers, if she wasn't in that dazed, weak state. It's absolutely ridiculous. According to what I know, this seems to be a lot more prevalent in Asian cultures, but I'd love to know if there is a similar thing in European cultures, too!
And yes, he's dating a woman who's just like his mother. I'm not surprised about that part, though. People who didn't get love from their parents constantly date people who are just like their mothers/fathers. Their partner is just like their mother, but they think that this time, the outcome will be different. He thinks he'll be able to get love from this woman, this time, for sure. For this drama, I think Dong Seok and Seon Ah are both trying to work through their issues and grow mentally, so... who knows? It might just work out for them.
"I don't know why so many viewers are judging" and yet you dare to judge how JH is feeling and how he will feel,…
You even counted the lines of my comment? You must have so much time on your hands. I wrote a longer explanation to explain my point. But I guess there's no point trying to explain your point to someone who's simply trying to insult you just because you have a different viewpoint.
STOP PROJECTING! The guy took his time to find what he wanted. He was not enticed by looks he knew what he wanted…
Your comment makes it sounds like I'm trying to break them up. I don't even know these people. How would I possibly do that?
I wasn't even arguing. I was simply making an observation. I said I don't think their r/s is going to last even if they decide to go out with each other after the show ends. This is because I've seen many couples, not like celebrities whom I don't personally know but IRL, my actual friends, who've broken up after their hormones ran wild at first.
But hey, I don't care if they get together or not. If you're shipping them and want them to do whatever, go ahead. I simply made the comment because I was surprised at how so many viewers of the show seem to think that their relationship has a good foundation... when I personally don't think so. That's all.
"I don't know why so many viewers are judging" and yet you dare to judge how JH is feeling and how he will feel,…
"and yet you dare to judge" whoa that is some emotionally-charged language there. I simply wrote my observations based on my life experience. Did you see how JH acted like a teenager in that chocolate making factory? The hosts of the show commented "Omgosh JH seems like a completely different person." And that's because he was. His hormones were clearly running wild, and running him. And this state does not last, my friend. Let's check back on this thread in about a year and we'll see how their relationship goes then. About projecting, it's clear who is more emotionally-charged here. I don't care if it goes well for them or it doesn't. Great if it does. But from my experience... I'm not sure it would. And for you to write such an emotionally-charged comment, I'm pretty sure you're projecting a lot of your own feelings here. Good luck to you, and hopefully you find your own JH, date him, and maybe you'll finally understand what I'm saying here.
Calm down, kid. And why did you delete your original comment calling me names? You called me a walking red flag when you don't even know me personally. (Oh, it's because you wanted to reply with two other comments hurling MORE insults at a stranger you don't even know personally.) Anyway, good luck to you. I hope you don't get your heart broken too many times, seeing how you seem to have a rather delusional view on people and relationships that's quite far from reality.

Hahaha.
So glad someone got it! :)
P.S. I feel so bad for all the A-list actors who had to play along with this terrible script.
