Royal Nirvana, Yanxi Palaces are better examples for Song Dinasty. Question is why women should not be portraied same. Why do we wish accuracy for male leads and not for woman? According with the song dinasty rules all FL WOULD NOT marry any of the the ML due to status. And yes he should have taken 10 concubines. That would have been better writing for the period that set up the kiddnaping scene. As I said : This drama is writen poorly.

Let's forgive him all and wait for him to grow up. Historical reality is that ML were that abusive or worse but the FL did not fall in love with them. I do not get why they work so hard to make all FL fall for the abusers. I saw previews, all the ML are abusive in a way or another. If everything would have been presented in a slapstick comedy I might have said ok let's watch more but they actually gave the show a serious tone. So for me is a Hard No.
