Never have I ever been so uncomfortable watching anything close to this, but for some reason I can't stop, maybe I'll go mad by the end of season 2. This is madness + exaggerated truths of human's dark thoughts. But is Nanno really in the side of good, it's almost like she's fuelling the darkest desires and punishing them at the end, from my point of view she isn't exactly karma, more like the devil, making deals with a twist in the end that brings your own damnation.
So I find out, makjang's not really my cup of tea just in 2 episodes, I really wanted to continue, but just can't get ahead of ep 2, the plot is simply blasphemous with its acting.
Honestly, I didn't have much expections, and I'm glad to be so proven wrong. I'm liking all the characters and mains are awesome. ML, I might have become a fan of him with this, I've only seen another one of his dramas Because this is my first life, which is on my top 3. I'm loving the contract relationships in both dramas, both with independent strong leads, of course the other drama is more relatable because none of the charas are chaebols, but if this continues as it's going, I'm sure I'll love it.
IU's character here seems innocent, afraid, clever, quick on her feet type on the first glance which she is but I think people might be willingly ignoring one of her traits like she's low key cunning and manipulative, interestingly she's aware what she's doing but still maintains a innocent stance. She easily made multiple princes fall for her, the younger one was intentional, she literally used his feelings for her safety, the one she herself fell for she shouldn't have, I mean it's shown she had been cheated on before on her first life, ironically she is her brother in law's mistress here. And the lead, she's never drawing a clear line even when he made multiple advances on her. If it were any present day, I'd have called her character 'a manipulative spinster b**** hiding behind a mask of innocence' but as it's the past, I kind of can't point fingers at her cuz it's the past and she's is of lower class and a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do to survive.
Team seo jin all the way, even though he's a sinking boat. I really have to commend him, he's being an astonishing friend to both suho and joo gyung, always helping both but his personality is kinda tsundere-ish. What I admired most is he's never crossing the line with joo gyung no matter how much he loves her, well till ep 13 yet. On the other hand is soojin, well I've nothing to say about her.
On ep 7, and I don't even care for main characters anymore. I've fallen for her elder sister 100's of time, man her lines are awesome. When the teacher says shiro and kisses her forehead, that was legit cuteness overloaded (male version).
Depends on the person, I didn't physically but had a lot of emotions ongoing inside my brain mentally. But what…
I mean you can, but for me it was like I saw 3 eps, then replayed those in my dreams again to better grasp the story line, then repeat. It's a personal preference, I see many people become bored with slice of life themes if they binge it, but I hope people don't skip this drama as it wasn't remotely boring for me, it does become a bit slow around 3 quarters of the drama but then catches up.
Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm, but the second half has been quite disappointing to me.I hope the ending and…
The ending did feel rushed, but it wasn't disappointing for me. Plus the kiss scene was one of the better ones, the only good female actors who can kiss nicely on camera I've yet seen is Park Min-Young in Her secret life and Seo Ye-ji in IOTNBO, now she's in that list. Also it was kind of a fab bittersweet ending for me with their next meeting never confirmed similar to star crossed lovers
The drama is good and I think I will complete it, rn on ep 10. But there are a no. of things that are annoying about Bok-Joo's character, I mean her behaviour doesn't reflect that of a student who's gonna be senior next year which would have been understandable if she was a moody high schooler but she isn't. First of which is the paying the expensive hospital fees just to visit a crush, like wth. She or her character is supposed to be responsible person who has a sick dad and haven't bought a new delivery bike in a decade. But no, one smile is enough for her to invest 600k won just for seeing him. Next is the constant lying, it's understandable to hide certain things till you've become closer with the other person but the lying? If the doctor had really fallen for her, he would have been felt so freaking betrayed, it's things like these that make it seem like only girls have feelings and guys have a emotional/pain tolerance of that of a monk, which is not true. Third and final, upto ep 10, she didn't even visit the sponsors, I mean I understand she's heartbroken but it's not like the coach is dying or will never visit her again. She already knows how much of a dire situation her club is in but still. What makes me angry is that everyone has to be understanding of others but she doesn't need to. At this point, even being a bitch, Si Ho is way worse off than Bok Joo, with her parents divorce, her sister going astray, her health, her lack of improvement in performance and of course her financial condition to the point of being homeless.
In my opinion this is not a happy ending.I will not get into the whole issue about who the king really fell in…
Totally agree with you, this is one of the biggest plotholes of the series. In the end, what the king said came true, no matter how many volumes of the queen's dictionary he wrote he wouldn't understand the queen, seeing he wasn't able to differentiate between the two. Only Byeong Im was. Also the emotional trauma the chef would have suffered after returning is not addressed, which is very cruel, it was like he was just used by the universe to make the world a better place by altering history, then discarded in the end which soo Yong who literally did nothing got a whole lot in return. But regardless of the ending I did enjoy the dram all 19 eps and 1hr, just not the last 30 mins. So a 8.5.
Depends on the person, I didn't physically but had a lot of emotions ongoing inside my brain mentally. But what I can say that is it will make you feel. Deep Emotions. They cover deep issues which is sugarcoated with gags and comedy, which is actually necessary or else something inside you might just break and snap in two. That is how I felt watching this. This is on my top 3, and I hope you like this.
This is growing to become my favourite action kdrama. I liked this better than k2 and iris considering the fact I don't like action genres that much. And I love yeo bin's acting here as well as on be Melodramatic. I wish the brutal memories of Vincenzo were enacted instead of mere flashbacks but it's fine. The raw cruel life, as portrayed in movies/series, of the cartel is shown fairly descriptively. One annoying thing was the overuse of the word 'mafia' but apart from that I'm on ep 11 and loving it so far.
P. S.: The park seo roi refrence from itaewon club as well as North Korean soldier from CLOY was really funny to me for some reason.
This is rated mature, but I've got no idea what that word has to do with the characters. Watching this drama made me feel like the characters were all playing house as if marriage was a joke. I mean I get that this drama was about cheating but the standard of men shown here is literal trash. It makes me wonder if they ever at some point loved their wives or atleast liked them. Sure, the wives shown here show a degree of scheming (barring the step-mom she was also the same category as the men) but they were loyal (I watched till ep 14, waiting to regain my energy). The men though, omg, they were all mesmerized within the first meeting with the mistresses. The doctor with her silent apple eating habit, the lawyer literally kept gawking at her ass, the professor was just blown away so much so, that he spent the same night watching all her previous shows.
This show is doing a good job on making it's viewer spill their guts, and I don't mean in a metaphorical sense. On Ep7, and I almost barfed and wanted to throw my phone away by the end. I mean I've seen guys trying to justify cheating on their spouses (on drama's) by trying to shift some of the blame, but justifying cheating to YOUR F.. KING KIDS! That's some next level low. On another note, the step-mom is making me cringe on another level, and her being old has nothing to do with it.
I kind of started this when I came to know about the actress. But this turned out to be way cringed for me, but it was the character not the actress per se, I've to see more of her dramas to find her acting type.
But is Nanno really in the side of good, it's almost like she's fuelling the darkest desires and punishing them at the end, from my point of view she isn't exactly karma, more like the devil, making deals with a twist in the end that brings your own damnation.
