Hi! Sorry for the long comment, but I really appreciate your post (especially on my faves). Ha Ji Won, Moon Chae…
I get what you mean about Jun Ji Hyun, I was disappointed by her role in Legend of Blue See, but the thing is, she's got this unique natural girl vibe that I haven't quite honestly in most k-actresses, it's like if you try to give her aegyo roles it'd turn out to be comedic, when she doesn't even need to try to be cute. You'll get what I mean by her naturalness after watching 'My Sassy Girl', do give it a watch. If you still aren't impressed by her performance, I'll respect your opinion. It was that movie that made me fall for her acting. And what to say about IU. She rocks badass characters. Her best performance can be seen in My Mister, I was blown by her acting, don't be disapponted by the romance at all, the character development makes up twice/thrice its worth. The other is 'Hotel del Luna' - I'll tell you honestly, I put off watching this drama for months because of the title but I put it on my list because of IU. One day, I decided what the hell and just gave it a go, boy was I surprised! I went into the drama with 0 expectations thinking I'll drop it if it turns out to be a boring episodic flick where a hotel has zombies like guests, but it was reaally that good that it sits on top of my rom dramas list. The ending was...it was good/bad/bittersweet/I don't know, it broke something in me but it was a necessary ending. It's kind of like the opposite of goblin's ending.
So tldr: Give 'My Sassy Girl', 'My Mister' & 'Hotel del Luna' a try ;). P.S.: Don't watch them one after the another tho, other dramas will seem boring in comparison. xD.
shes a hero for not letting Chota die as virgin xDBut I agree. When she told herself that she would survive, I…
Hmm...useless? Chota, I agree. But She had potential, remember she was in the AI team, her id? Even though she slept with the head for one promotion, I wounld't tag her to be average. Also it was really sad for Karube too, he should have had more oppurtunities in spade games. IMO ending was reeeally rushed.
Shibukis role was intresting to me, I wanted to see her endgame with she becoming an master seducer who sacrificed men at whim. The beach part was unnecessary for me too, I liked the concept but disco rave parties where electricity is a necessity, nope it'd have been realistic if it was showcased more like a cult headed my a mastermind. What was annoying the most that they revealed the game master. The leads should have outgamed him/her to find their identity in a last game say king of hearts where the closest friend turned out to be the game master. And also the leads roles are too forced, I hope they DON'T become a couple, I don't like an obvious romance in a survival genre.
P. S.: It'd had been fun seeing shibuki playing both chota and karibe and enticing jealousy between them where one ended up killing the other or they both join forces to dispose of shibuki.
This would have been realistic, if not for the very used trope of rich guy falls for poor girl. What's worse he paid of her debt, for her treatment, the house and whatnot. But discarding the fact of he being rich as it's not heavily repeated in each episode, it was a decent watch. 8/10. Can't give it lower or even higher as other dramas have moved me more than this.
Omg they were right about this drama. I didn't watch it first due to no definite romance but i tried to give it…
Can you tell me what is this winter garden thing every one is talking about. I watched the whole drama and didn't catch the phrasing in the subs. Are you talking about ahn jeong's mom and jong su?
This drama has such a unique charm, I can't yet believe that I'm watching a K-drama. The genre that best describes this kind of drama is Slice of Life with a hint of romance which is my favourite blend and I wasn't sure this genre even existed in K-dramas before this series. This was such a refreshing watch, I really appreciated the platonic friendships, no messy love polygons, no overhyped drama and the uniqueness or should I say quirks of each character. I was kinda worried this was gonna copy Grey's anatomy and so glad that it wasn't the case. A solid 8.5-9/10 from me.
I know all roles given yet to her support roles, but man did she kill them off. It was like the characters were written for her. My favourite will always continue to be Hotaru from Mr. Sunshine. It's like she challenges the producer/director, the lesser screen time you give me, the more I'll stand out. I wish they extend her on screen time, and she might surprise us all when she does get a main role. I really hope she finds a story matching her character and just not any main role.
Despite the comments, I gave it a try and I couldn’t even finish it. The romance is a big fat NO for me. I just…
Totally get what you mean, I've got no hate against the FL but her character was written in such a trashy manner, like a pushover crybaby, breaking down every time the guy is leaving her. I skipped over most of the romance scenes, they were cringing me a lot. I couldn't believe this person also played Kudo Hina in Mr. Sunshine, maybe my expectations were set too high. But the latter's character was brilliantly executed. The only thing I can give this show is the action it's really good but it is neutralised with the unnecessary romance, I wish all romance scenes were deleted from this drama, and sorry to disappoint but the romance stays trashy till the end of the show.
