I honestly refuse to call a show "Eternal love" when "10 miles of peach blossoms" is right there! I know it's…
I guess they tried to shorten TMOPB’s title. It perfectly describes this drama though.

OMG yes, thanks for pointing that out LOLDang, I can't imagine being as passionate as some people are :0 My life…
I was supposed to comment this on another comment but it fits here mostly.

I watched Go Go Squid mainly for this reason. I felt like they were aiming for the general perception of e-sports among the Chinese rather than how valuable CTF actually is for those who are trying to make a career in cybersecurity.

CTF is one of those underrated competitions where its participants who did well will be likely headhunted by a lot of cybersecurity companies. It made me upset that if a contestant ends his/her CTF career, it's over. At least in this drama. IRL, it's quite the opposite. Not only that, there were characters in this drama that devalued CTF by treating these players like c***.

I had to remind myself numerous times that this is just a drama.

I tried some CTF-related games and they were hard (I suck at assembly language so there's that)!

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this drama though and thank it for introducing me to CTF!

Omg, how is cyber security? I'm deciding whether or not I should take a few courses on it :0As a fellow female,…
Same sentiments. I do not play video games nor I fit in those stereotypes associated with those in tech. The good thing is that I have a lot of female classmates so there wasn't that much discrimination in where I was studying at.

Ever since I posted reviews on this site, I always kept checking every now and then which makes me anxious. I admit that I am still a newbie reviewer. This post makes me feel better as I am not alone.

When I first commented, I really did want to rant all over this drama again. I welcome remakes as long as it is done properly. It doesn't have to be a copy of the original.

Sometimes, I thought what goes into the minds of the executives when they were giving dramas like this a green light. The thing is, this drama has a lot of things that viewers might like in a modern C-drama.

Interesting article, especially the information provided on Thailand.

My Thai Drama Journey:

My first Thai drama was of the slap/kiss genre last 2015-2016. There were only limited dramas to choose from Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese titles, I turned to Thai dramas. The slap/kiss dramas that I remembered and enjoyed watching were Sawan Biang, Leh Ratree(the one with Esther and Sean; my favorite Thai drama in the genre.) and probably Jam Loey Rak. These are just a few though.

Then I started to venture out of the genre and watched The Ugly Ducking series from GMMTV. This is where I got introduced to Push and watched his other lakorn, Leh Nangfa. I really liked Leh Nangfa because it has a lot of morals in it.

As for the dramas set in the historical era, I've watched the Khun Chai series with the third Khun Chai drama being my favorite as it is my first drama.

The recent Thai dramas that I watched was a BL drama called Together the Series and a thriller drama called A Girl From Nowhere. I enjoyed AGFN's twisted commentary of modern highschools.

My Tip For Newcomers:
If it's your first time watching a Thai drama, hearing the accents can be weird (especially when some of the male actors speak) for the first few times. Give it time to grow and you'll be used to the accents later on.

As someone who's watched a lot of slap/kiss, it's okay to enjoy them and I would like to reiterate one of the comments here that these dramas should not be romanticized.

Also, Thailand does not only produce BL dramas but others in the genre as well. At the same time, GMMTV is not the only place that produces a Thai drama (albeit the most accessible), there are other channels as well. Channel 3, Channel 7, Channel 1 and many others.

Preference:
Mostly Lakorns and I still have BL titles on my backlog which I don't know when I'll be able to watch. I really don't watch Thai remakes because I get exhausted after watching the same plot all over again made by other countries.

Title Ashes of Love Spoiler
I really love the visuals of this drama and I really liked Jin Mi's character but I just can't seem to finish…
My main beef with this drama is the love polygon. This drama heavily leaning on this trope was so grating that once I remember the events that will happen on the upcoming episodes makes me wanna stop. (I've read the novel and I really don't have the heart to go through that again.)

I really love the visuals of this drama and I really liked Jin Mi's character but I just can't seem to finish this drama. My brother really likes this drama but I can't seem to like it.

To be honest, this has one has a decent mortal arc out of the xianxia genre dramas.

Does anyone know where I can find this tv show with English subs??
Vengo Gao Fanclub is doing a livestream subbing of the drama at the Idol & Romance YT channel for those who cannot understand Chinese. Most of the subs are under the DVD playlist of Living Toward the Sun.

I think MangoTV will sub the drama after it airs on TV. Hopefully. Tencent did it with their TV dramas.

Anywhere we can watch Miss S with subs?
You can watch it on HBO Go with the 7-day free subscription since the episodes are complete. You must be in Asia to watch though.

The only problem with Filipino dramas and movies is where to watch them. It's so hard to find. I love their movies.
I think for Encantadia, Etheria and Encantadia: Pag-ibig hanggang wakas, I remembered GMA airing them on YT
