I felt the same way as you when she cast that disaster spell. Heck it actually made me feel a bit excited as I thought they would finally move forward from the love potion spell. I was a bit disappointed when it turned out to be a failure.

To be honest I cannot really get into the romantic scenes of the male lead and the female lead due to the love potion issue. Instead of feeling giddy I just feel quite uncomfortable and uneasy with the love potion premise. I would have thought that if this has happened to me I would have felt really uneasy and uncomfortable because of the awareness that the guy is not really truly feeling love for me but was coerced or forced to have such feelings and so it just comes out as fake and not real. I just hope that they would end this love potion issue sooner rather than later to move the story forward because right now I am more inclined to get more interested with the interactions between the Female Lead and the Second Male Lead as at least the progress in their relationship is real and is not enforced by a love potion.

I was about to skip episode 16 after reading comments but I mustered up some of my courage and went through it. I'm thankful for all the warnings on the comments, I was able to contain my so much disappointment in the ending. It could have progressed a different way. There's so many ideas I could think of on how to move this story forward to an ending that is happy. I suppose I have to respect that the writer and the director wanted to end it this way. Nonetheless I consider it lazy writing. Like they have ran out of ideas or something.

Can anyone explain the ending? Is Chen Bida alive? A ghost? An imagination? a hallucination? I'm quite confused.

Okay so this drama might not be that logical of a story but boy it's so hilarious from beginning to end. I also love the fact that instead of brothers fighting to be emperor it's the opposite. They are fighting not to be the emperor. So that plot is quite unique in it's own way and so this concept is already hilarious as it is because it's outside of what you expect of human nature.
