Thanx for writing this article. I wanted to watch it because I love gong kyung but the comments and ratings discouraged me and I marked it as "not interested" . But because of ur article I will give it a try.
It looks as cliched as it can . Probably i will end up getting a sls. But the teaser is good, I love the main leads and its a tvN drama so my expectations are high.
Why are people reviewing ongoing dramas ? I mean some dramas start out good but disappoint later ( like the great seducer, something in the rain etc). Some dramas get better than in the later episodes. So I don't think these reviews are of any use IMHO.

I agree. But tenma in drama is better than tenma in manga. In the manga tenma didn't confess his feelings to oto earlier and his character is way more complex. He confessed way too late. I have gone through 50 chapters of the manga( that's what have been translated until now) and oto still hasn't chosen between tenma and haruto. But i am fine with her ending with haruto .
I also agree that F4 is much more closer than C5 is but C5 didn't bully oto as F4 did to makino. In this way i guess C5 is better.
It's been a long time since a jdrama got me this hooked. I am loving this so far. Haruto is more likeable than Domyouji. He isn't a jerk but has sort of a little emperor syndrome. Tenma is just perfect and is more likeable than rui. Oto is cute. I also like C5 more than F4 including airi( she was a bitch with creepy bulging eyes but she changed for good). They are using similar tropes as in hana yori dango but in a lighter way. But i hope they don't include the amnesia thingy . I know they are going to include the evil rich parent trope in the storyline( tenma's stepmother and haruto's father) but i hope it is bearable. As of now what i am concerned about is how they will show oto falling in love with haruto and breaking up with tenma. I know that they introduced megumi's character so that oto can get jealous and figure out her feelings for haruto but i don't think it is fair for tenma. I mean she is supposedly in love with tenma and he loves her too. In hana yori dango Domyouji- makino pairing was believable because rui took time to sort out his feelings for her and timing is what matters in a relationship. But here it would be unfair for tenma. Especially after that kiss between oto and tenma at the end of episode 6 i can't imagine how heartbroken tenma would be if oto breaks the engagement. I also hope that they don't make another season and end this season with a happy ending otherwise the story would just drag with angst and tropes i don't want to see.
I love reading Chinese novels (especially the ones with time travel). They have a different appeal than the English novels. Goho's starry night , splash splash love and Noble my love are my favorites. I also like High end crush , click my heart, you drive me crazy and we broke up .
I am not particularly a fan of this story . I mean the part where she is so obsessed that she stalks him and what not. But I like the part after they get married because we can see feelings of both ML and FML . So my favorite adaptation is they kiss again .
Thanx for the heads up. I was thinking of watching this because of Lee Kyu Han ( who plays name tae il) and bok nam /Kim min kyu but I guess I'll pass this one
It is one of my favorite dramas. The best thing about this drama is the chemistry between the leads. Also the villians are quite tolerable. It is one of those dramas where I could tolerate amnesia though it didn't make sense. I liked the ending but I am still waiting for second season. Looks like I am the only one who watched this before TMPB. This drama led me to TMPB.
