lol, I knew that scene would be bad, so I skipped it until the confession.
Same. This scene made me cringe. That's for me the first mistake of the show. This and the way Wan Qing discovers what Liu Qing did in Bazen. I would have liked to see a scene between them instead of "my best friend told me etc." So I gueess that's the second mistake of this fun show.
Namkoong Min is a great actor, no question about it. He carries the show and, as usual, he is impressive. The other actors are also very good. The music is really nice also. The only problem with this show is the plot : overly complicated. Watch it for Namkoong Min. That’s what I did and I wasn’t disappointed.
So this is worth checking out then... I haven't found a good Cdrama lately.
In my point of view, yes. All the characters are nice : the ML is sometimes funny, sometimes more serious, the FL is a woman really invested in her job, her dad is sweet, the grandma us adorable. As for the secondary couple, they’re also great but in a different way. The plot gets more and more interesting as the story unfolds. Also, have you watched Under the power ? It was also a big surprise. It’s now one of my favorite C drama.
What a nice surprise ! I didn’t expect anything from this show and… Acting, plot, good balancing between drama and comic… What a fun I have watching this ! Also, I’m glad to watch actors who are not babies..
I have a few problems with this show : First : the scenes are not in the chronological order, which means I never know when we are in the in the present and when we are in the past. Second : we are supposed to follow both stories : the one in the present and the one in the past. BUT : there is only one scene in the present, at the beginning of each episode. With one or two episodes per week, I can’t remember these scenes ; thus these don’t make any sense and I can’t construct the whole storyline in my mind. Third : the focus of the episodes are not on the main characters but on secondary ones. And I don’t care about secondary characters. A very meh show for me.
The death of Wu Si Yue was unnecessary. The plot with Liu Ran’s brother was useless. From my POV, the only character that was really well used was GBZ. Sad because Wang Yi Bo and Victoria Song are really really good actors. But their character feels underdevelopped.
What I love about this drama : the cast, everyone, the cinematography, impressive, the main characters, interesting. But : there are filler episodes where nothing happens and that's sad. I think they could have worked on the plot a little more to avoid unnecessary scenes, like the ones with Liu Ran's brother which don't bring anything to the story. Overall, an very enjoyable show. Don't think I'll rewatch it though.
The pace is slow… But it’s perfect ! Beautiful landscapes, beautiful music, beautiful characters. I think it’s great the showrunners show us how it feels to live such a long time without our loved ones. The torture it is. I love the reflexive tone of the show. Lee Jin Wook is getting better ; getting old suits him very well !
